Pet care experience
I have been taking care of animals for more than half of my life. I have had both dogs and cats growing up, and an incredible fondness for both! I have looked after pets through every stage of life, from a little baby right up to (very) senior stages and their eventual passing. Nothing in life makes me happier than spending time with pets, something I am eager to do more of since the passing of my pupper last year. Happy to do any pet sitting/ dog walking/ playing needed, and would be very happy to fuss any animals required. I'm strong for my size, so can cope with large/ high energy dogs which may pull on leads. I have a good ball arm (thanks to my own dog) so I am more than happy to walk and throw. Currently I have one senior cat, who is very accustomed to a variety of dogs, and one small dog which I look after twice a week, and have done since she was a couple of weeks old!

Chiska has had pets from an early age. Her own cats at 9 years old and a dog since 11. She's trained her dogs with kind confidence and understands that boundaries work well and the dogs respond effectively. She's been a dog sitter for friend's dogs since 5, with assistance of course, before the family were in a position to have their own. She's a safe pair of hands for all animals, she both understands and adores them.

I like to know a pets routine, so as not to disturb it too much when taking over from their regular carer. I need to know how often they like to be walked, how far and generally what times. I like to know what kind of things they do to play or if they like to be cuddled or not etc! also if there's any special dietary requirements or if they are particularly good focused.
A typical day
I love going on walks, whether they be long old hikes through the mountains, or a little sniff around the neighborhood, so lots of regular walking is always a priority! My own dog loved to play ball outside, and inside we played lots of mentally stimulating games to tire him out both physically and mentally. Once he did conk out, I loved to have a bit of cuddle time on the sofa.

Availability
I am currently taking a break from work and travelling and am looking to fill some time surrounded by my favourite things (dogs!) therefore I have a lot of flexible time for petting, walking and playing!
