Dogs need vacations, too!
Pet care experience
We have usually had a dog as an intricate part of our household We Previously lived in the Presidio for 17 years where there were lots of places to roam. I recently fostered a dog for 18 months while her owner was battling cancer. The dogs socialization skills improved greatly due to interaction with neighbors and other dog walkers but she insisted on barking whenever the door bell rang.! She loved car rides, going to the beach and sunning on the patio, and playin fetch.

This was Piper's first overnight with a sitter and she loved it! Chip was so kind and caring toward her that she felt right at home and almost wasn't ready to leave. I appreciate the care Chip gave to Piper and feel good knowing when I need someone to care for my dog, Chip is there!
We are so happy that we had Chip as our sitter for our first time using Rover. He was very caring & attentive to our energetic 12 mos. old poodle. He took our pup on many walks & adventures around. He sent us daily updates with pictures. That really reassured us seeing a happy pup. Would definitely recommend and book again.
Chip was amazing and I couldn't ask for a better dogsitter. Will definitely use him again.

I have a large fully fenced backyard and a comfortable home that looks a bit lived in with very few breakables. I live with my son who is 26 and also a dog lover but hangs out in his room a lot. We have three bedrooms on one floor and a delightful wood burning stove for those stormy nights , dogs will be fed and walked on a schedule and cuddled whenever the mood strikes them. We are big on dog treats so you’ll have to let us know the perimeters.. Happy to include the dogs on errands if they like to ride in the car. No problem with bathing if they get muddy and brushing on a regular basis.

Availability
I am fully retired and besides some volunteer activities I am involved in I have free time. I moved to Humboldt in August and spend lots of time exploring the area, the rivers and all the cute little towns like ferndale. I know very few people in Humboldt so my social calendar is not bursting with activity
