For the last 14 years my family has owned and breeded Tibetan Spaniels. Before that, I owned three chihuahua fox terriers. As such, I have years of experience in owning and caring for small dogs of all ages. I love to use positive reinforcement (treats, fetch, verbal praise) when I play with and walk dogs. During walks I train dogs using basic commands (sit, down, touch, heel, side, leave-it, watch me), and I love to teach new commands and practice polite leash skills. I also love going to parks/new places and jogging or walking whenever possible. Additionally, my own dog has separation anxiety and is fearful/timid, so I have experience with walking dogs who are reactive/insecure (To address this, I use commands and high value treats on walks). I’m currently in graduate school, but in the days that I don’t have school I’m more than willing to work with you to find a date and time to accommodate you and your doggy needs. Although I make no claims to know more about your dog than you do, I’m invested in learning as much as I can to ensure that your dog is happy and thriving whenever I’m caring for them. I also understand how stressful it can be as a dog-parent to entrust someone else with your fur baby, so I will reassure/update you and be extra reliable and caring whenever I’m with your pup. Most of all, I understand how a dog is a part of your family and I’ll treat him/her as if they’re part of my little family for the time being! I meet each dog where they are at. I will listen to your dogs needs and react to them accordingly, I will always prioritize your dog’s happiness, and I’ll give lots of pets and love!
