Pet care experience
Just your average dog lover. I am a Navy spouse/college student and I currently volunteer at Portsmouth Humane Society as a dog walker and I adore it so much. Dog walking has become a relaxing and happy outlet for me so walking your dog would be more than just a job. I am a wildlife biology major and have quite the passion for animals and go out of my way to be around them, such a volunteer dog walking. I am very skilled in handling larger breed dogs. I currently own a two year old American Stafford-shire Terrier and in the past have had a Rottweiler as a family pet. Let me help care for your loved furry friend while you're away or busy and I'll do my best to care for them with the same love that you would yourself. I'm available any weekday all day long and am potentially willing to do weekend hours if we discuss it. I would be willing to adjust my schedule to help better care for your pet. Cheyenne and I once went swimming with a group of friends, one of our friends brought along a dog. This particular dog loved people very much, but didn't like constantly having to swim as she would get tired and try to hang on to people and swim onto their backs so she wouldn't have to swim. Cheyenne took notice and moved closer to a shallower area where she could stand and hold the dog in her arms so it could rest.
Cheyenne has and will forever be one of the most hard working and passionate people I have had the pleasure of hiring. I am the proud owner of 2 Black Lab/Golden Retriever mixes, Titan and Rosco, and Cheyenne was the best caretaker I had ever had for them. Rosco has been described by some as “overly energetic” but this proved to be no problem for Cheyenne and she even exercised both dogs to the point where they were well behaved and sleepy when she brought them home. I would say that Cheyenne has a gift with caring for animals and that she would make a welcome addition to any household as an animal caretaker.
Cheyenne exemplifies the perfect character to handle and care for animals. I have always noticed that she takes great care of and has an immense amount of patience with any animal she encounters. I have witnessed her go out of her way to take care of lost and abandoned dogs and cats, as well as, show her own animals lots of love. She would be the perfect candidate to watch over other people's beloved family pets.

Please inform me of any special needs your pet may have and any extra care they may need when I am taking care of it and I will go out of my way to provide whatever service needed.
A typical day
I enjoy being outside and the longer the walk the better! If you have a more high energy dog I could always bring a ball or rope toy out on the walk to help relive some of their pent up energy. If your dog is older or doesn't enjoy long walks I'd be more than happy to stay out for only the required amount of time and instead just spend a little extra time loving on your pet and making them feel important and content while you're away. I will cater to your dogs specific needs.
