I've grown up with dogs my whole life. Dog sat through high school and fostered dogs through college. I have experience with anxious or temperamental dogs. Confident and comfortable around dogs and cats and happy to discuss any special arrangement for your pets.

Chet has watched our high energy dog twice now, once for a long weekend and once for a 10-day stretch. Both times he has been excellent - truly the best dog sitter we’ve ever had. He is very communicative, sending updates and pictures consistently, and always responds to our texts quickly. He takes her on long walks and off leash hikes, and has followed all of our instructions re: type of leash/collar she needs for different activities. We even noticed in some of the pictures he sent that he put an AirTag on her collar for extra safety, which put us even more at ease when leaving her for a long stretch. He’s our first choice for a dog sitter and I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone!
If you have dogs who are reactive or have otherwise done training with your dogs that you want continued when you’re not around-Chet is your guy. His calm and patient demeanor was the perfect match for our female who takes a while to warm up to strangers, especially men. Chet was not put off by this and instead moved at her pace until she learned to trust him. We also took the time to teach him some of the training we have implemented with our dogs and he was super eager to learn and put it into action during his daily walks. We were so disappointed when he moved away because he’s a really great dog guy. If you hire him, you won’t be disappointed!

Typical things could include, how they do with other dogs/people so I can be prepared for anything unexpected on walks/visits. Do they have any allergies? Do they have any unique commands or recalls? Do they have specific routines that would make them more comfortable?
A typical day
One of the reasons I wanted to get into rover was to get more outdoor exercise and be more active so walking dogs seems like a great way to do both. I’m not partial to any particular walk locations but am happy to take suggestions and more than willing to pick out a good, safe place for walks close to where you live.
