Small dogs spoiled here
Pet care experience
I grew up in a family that always had pets of all kinds. Four years ago, I got a mini dachshund, Jester, so I'm recently familiar with simple trainings such as sit and stay. Jester loves to play with other dogs. I often watch other dogs for my family, including overnights and extended periods.

Cheryle is a great dog-sitter. Her house is well set-up for a little dog, with low couches, ramps and lots of cozy spots. Her dachsund was a great companion for my dog, Roscoe. Roscoe came home calm and happy after 5 days at Cherlye's. He was on a variety of meds for a sore back and she managed all those well and took great care of him.
I felt very comfortable knowing my fur baby was in capable and caring hands with Cheryle! Poppy absolutely loves visiting and hanging out with Jester and Cheryle was very understanding about delays that came up in my travel plans and was very flexible. Definitely my go to sitter!
This was my pup’s second stay with Cheryle and she had such a fun time with her and the other dog friends that she was able to hang out with! I had requested Cheryle to send more pictures from the last time and she was more than happy to oblige and sent me tons of pictures of my baby so I never had to worry. Will definitely be booking with her again - Poppy definitely would agree!

I have a fenced yard and live in a residential neighborhood. I take my dog for a walk once or twice a day depending on weather and when it's nice we go to the local park as well. My house has dog ramps, tons of toys, and access to the front windows for spying on the neighbors. Dogs ARE allowed on the furniture.

I'd like to know if your dog is skittish or shy and how they are walking on a leash. Please let me know of any dietary concerns. Please make sure your dog is comfortable in a crate if staying overnight.
A typical day
Get up about 6 am, dogs run in the yard, breakfast. About 8 am take a walk around the neighborhood. Playtime in the house. Noon - doggy playtime in the yard. About 4 pm, dogs take a walk around the neighborhood or, if nice out, drive over to the park. Dinner. About 8 pm dogs run in the yard. Treats and lots of toys sprinkled through the day.

I am retired so have quite a bit of free time. I do have nighttime activities sometimes so would follow your lead about whether to crate your dog or leave him out with mine for the few hours I might be gone.
