Pet care experience
I'm Cheryl, a friendly and responsible animal lover & photographer, who will ensure your peace of mind when leaving your beloved home and pets to enjoy your trip. I enjoy travel, exploring the local area and outdoor adventure...kayaking, trail running and hiking. While working remotely from my clients' homes, I love keeping the good company of pets, with lots of attention breaks for furry friends. I'll be with your little ones most of the time during my stay. A non-smoker, I'm very clean and tidy, don't party or do drugs, and will leave your lovely, cherished home in tip top fashion, cared for and maintained respectfully and by your request. WHY I WANT TO HOUSESIT: I love the company of pets, and miss having my own to spend time with. Be assured, yours will be treated as my most newly adopted family. Initially, local dog walking experiences sparked an interest, and my overnight pet and house sitting evolved organically by referrals. I'm thrilled that it indulges my love of animals, travel and adventure. It's a pleasure to now travel full time for stays, both in state and across the country. I started house and pet sitting full time in 2014. As a previous homeowner and doggie Mom of 13 years, I know how important it is to find and trust someone that will care for your beloved home and furry kids as you would. As an avid photographer (and occasional graphic designer), I check in with photos and updates about our adventures, so you know your pets are in good hands. I've owned dogs from childhood (Chihuahuas then), who have always been a part of the family. My last two fur kids were a Sheltie mix and a Border Collie/Queensland Heeler. A problem solver, I've handled unexpected issues in keeping the best interests of pets and owners in mind, with communication and immediate, thorough attention. I've cared for dogs, cats, parakeets, parrots, bunnies and even insects, and am open to other creatures as needed. I've provided garden and swimming pool care. I've helped a friend (my own doggie sitter of many years), with her boarding and day care facility. It involved feeding and administering medications for small and large breeds, supervising group play time and making sure they were happy, safe and comfortable.

It’s always hard to leave our sweet girl, but having Cheryl stay at our place to watch her made all the difference. Our cat can change her eating habits daily so her feeding schedule can be challenging. Cheryl was flexible with trying new things to get our cat to eat and was eventually successful. We came back to a very clean house and a happy cat. I trust Cheryl and am excited to have found such a great pet sitter. Definitely recommend her! Thank you Cheryl for everything!
Cheryl did a great job with my pup. He received multiple walks a day, kept healthy and looked happy in the photos that she sent daily. She instantly hit it off with my pup at the meet up and made it so much easier for me to be away. Definitely recommend her and would book her again.
Cheryl was wonderful. This was our first time leaving our dog at home and trusting a house sitter to care for her. Cheryl exceeded our expectations. We felt at ease leaving Kozi in her care knowing she was well loved and cared for with frequent updates and photos! We can’t wait to have her back again!

Information Cheryl W. would like to know about your pet
I love all breeds. I like to know: • The age, energy level and exercise requirements. • Temperament: do they get along with other dogs and people, especially kids. • Any quirky behavior or concerns, including separation anxiety, aggression, human food stealing, or chewing and destruction of belongings. • $6/DAY MEDICATION/SUPPLEMENTS • Please list all your animals on your profile, so they are covered by Rover insurance, and so the sitting fees are applied appropriately. This includes cats & other animals, which are an extra care fee.
A typical day
Time I'll spend with your dog: I work remotely, so am present to keep your pet(s) company most of the time. Plus, whatever your dog requires for outside breaks, play time, hugs, treats and exercise. If your dog normally enjoys trail hikes, dog parks, rivers or beaches, that's where we'll go. Extra house-sitting services: • Whatever is required in the normal daily care of your home, such as mail collection, trash, plant care and light pool maintenance. • $25 MEET & GREET for 1-hour visit in your home, travel and gas. I do my best to schedule for when I'm in your area. • $25 Additional Meet & Greet or key pickup/drop off. • $30 AUTO CLEANING If you would like me to drive your dog for outings to walk, the use of your car is encouraged. If I use my car, gas funds and an auto cleaning fee applies. • TWO NIGHT MINIMUM • I love to travel for extended stays! I've cared for pets in Northern, Central and Southern California, Arizona, Florida, Nevada, New Mexico and Washington state.
