Pet care experience
I grew up bringing cats home, and have always been concerned with the humane treatment of animals. I am a conscientious animal lover who knows that dogs need to explore and sniff outside to calm themselves and to feed their interests. Most cats like to get repeatedly "combed" with damp hands to remove dust and loose fur. I listen to a dog to find what pace and range they are comfortable with, and let them go with their curiosity. Once a pet knows me, they are often overwhelmed with excitement to go out for their personal adventure; then I know that my work is for good - they are having fun and experiencing nature. I also give relaxing muscle massages, if welcomed. The goal is to make your pet's life more fulfilled, calm and happy. Cheryl

Cherly took great care of Café. She was lovely with him, played a lot of catch, sent a lot of pictures during his stay and was able to accommodate sour last minute requests . She’s the best!
This is Cafe’s second stay with Cherly and she was once again a great petsitter! She gave him several daily walks, delicious home made treats and plenty of cuddles ! Café loves her and I will definitely book her again soon. :-)
Cheri is an extremely conscientious and hard working person with a deep love for animals. I could not more highly recommend the care she provides while dog sitting / walking and cat sitting : )
Cheryl has taken incredible care of our beloved fur baby, Petey, for a few years now, and we’ve never had a better sitter for her. We travel a lot, and have used boarding facilities and others to provide in-home care before, but Cheryl’s love of animals and her dedication to their well-being has now spoiled us forever. She really connects with pets and our 13-year-old Petey is always healthy, happy, and well-adjusted when we come home. Cheryl is able to get her to eat and relax when when we’re gone, and it’s really evident when we return... that’s priceless to us. We’ll never use anyone else so obviously, I highly recommend Cheryl’s services!

I'd like to know if they nip if I touch any part of their body or need to pick them up, If it is ok to let them meet other, friendly dogs on our walks, and if they have any sore spots or health problems that give them pain or distress. Is it ok to run or trot if your dog wants to?
A typical day
I try to walk dogs on dirt and grass, and let them follow their noses; It's easier on their paws and joints and they love to huff- in rich soil. I stay away from choke-collars and head-halters because I want dogs to be free to explore, and have a walk free from pain, fear, and tension. If a dog gets wet or muddy from our walk I clean them with a wet towel that I bring to each walk, left at the door- step for use on our return.

Availability
I work part-time, four hour shifts. When I stay with a pet I adjust my work schedule so that I work few shifts and enjoy my time with the pet. I strive to be away no longer than five hours at a time.
