Pet care experience
I have dog sat for a neighbor for over 10 years now. I love her Lab as if she were mine. I always play with her, love her, and make her feel comfortable and relaxed while my neighbor is away. I feed her and provide fresh water, and of course, treats. Then we play tug-a-war to wear down some of her playfulness. Then we go outside to play catch! I treat my neighbor's property with respect and care, water plants and yard, and pick up mail. And of course, handle any crisis that might possibly arise. Should the lab tear up something,, I clean up the mess, especially if she has an accident. I also put the trash out for pickup while my neighbor is on vacation.

Happy to have found both Rover.com and Cheryl S. - we were pleased with her and the attention she gave to our 9.5yo Chocolate Lab who is our baby - things were tended to as we requested and our "baby" was in good shape - just what we needed after Hurricane Harvey visited our area and left so many devastated with the loss of homes, autos, personal belongings and in many cases, family members - we pray for those who were hit so hard by the storm and all that it entailed and hope the best for a full recovery - thanks Rover for being there and for helping us find a great sitter - we will be back in future
I travel several times a year for 3 to 7days at a time and Cheryl has been dog sitting for me during these trips for the last 10 years. She takes excellent care of my lab going above and beyond . My lab is always happy and excited to see her. Cheryl takes plenty of time to play with her and cuddle her. She spends much more time with her than I expect her to. Cheryl sends me pics of my dog while I am gone and I always know that Ivy is as well cared for as she would be if I was home - maybe more so! I highly recommend Cheryl to anyone looking for a dog sitter .

A typical day
Yes, we will go on walks at the park or in the neighborhood as well as play outside to burn off energy. I will give all animals hugs and kisses as I'm certain they will reciprocate the favor. I will make them feel relaxed and at ease while the owners are away.
