I have recently moved to Brunswick from the Boston area and look forward to helping you take care of your fur babies! I have 18+ years experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician with the majority of my career spent in the ER/ICU. I have recently decided to retire from the field, and would love to help any families who have pets with special needs such as giving medications, insulin injections, subcutaneous fluids, etc. I am also happy to just hang out with your pets and keep them safe and happy while you are away! I do request to meet all families and pets before my first scheduled visit so that your pet feels comfortable with me before I arrive. There is no charge for this intro meeting. I look forward to meeting you!

Cheryl was so lovely to work with. We had just adopted a timid and sweet dog, and were going away for 10 days. He had been hospitalized for severe vomiting two days after we got him, and I was uneasy leaving him after such a rough transition to our home. Cheryl happens to be a former vet tech and was totally adept at giving him his meds, and he ended up becoming best friends with her. She sent daily pictures of him sleeping on her leg, playing with his tennis ball, or eating like he normally would. Seeing him totally at ease and happy with her was the biggest relief. I really appreciated Cheryl’s open communication, kindness and transparency while she was watching him. I can’t say enough good things about her and highly recommend her.
Cheryl goes above and beyond everytime she watches our animals. It makes going away so much better to know they are in her care. Will hire her every time, hands down!!!
As usual, I am so glad to have had Cheryl to stay with Cole, and I will definitely be looking forward to having her back again to sit with him!! I appreciate the care she puts into her time with Cole so much!! Excellent!!
Cheryl is an absolute gem! She took the most wonderful care of our diabetic cat while we were away. It was a huge comfort knowing that she has the background and skills to manage his care - I truly did not worry while we were gone. She played with him and gave him so much love! She also sent us adorable and sometimes hilarious photo updates. I also have to include that were gone during the recent storm and she stayed at our house. She kept our cat and our home safe while the power was out! This woman is a f*cking rockstar and we will be eternally grateful for her. Thank you, Cheryl! <3

Information Cheryl P. would like to know about your pet
For any walking, the dog will need to be fully leash trained and not dog reactive just for everyone's safety. I would also like to know any special diets or medications that your dog is currently receiving. It is also helpful to know the commands your dog is familiar with so that I can be consistent with your training. On a more fun note, I love to know what their favorite toys and treats are, or any of their favorite games or activities.
A typical day
I love taking dogs for walks around their neighborhood, or playing outside with any favorite toys. I also enjoy bringing small pieces of carrots and reinforcing any commands they know during our playtime. I know that with 30-60 minute stays it is best for me to try to get some of their energy out so when you return home and I am happy to oblige! If the stay is longer, I love taking dogs to the woods to get some more fun sniffing in during the day.
