Furbabies are my specialty. Being a pet mom myself, I know it isn't easy to trust someone with your pet or your home when you are away. I will treat your pet(s) exactly how I would like mine to be treated and cared for in my absence. I have experience with a variety of animals and am willing to take care of just about anything. I have personal experience with dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, hamsters, and hedgehogs. If your pet has special needs, I am willing and able to care for them once I meet them and receive care instructions from you. I have, personally and professionally, cared for cats and dogs recovering from various surgeries, cats with diabetes needing insulin injections and blood glucose testing, and my own dog who recently passed away in Oct 2020 with degenerative myleopthy. I am patient, loving, and willing to accomodate the needs of senior animals as well. I work from home (primarily) and have a flexible schedule so I can usually accomodate any needs your pet may have. A little about me....I work full time advocating for people with developmental disabilities and connecting them to services and resources in their community. I also attend Gardner-Webb University online to finish my bachelors degree in Human Services. I have always loved animals and in all my life I can't think of a time that I haven't owned at least one pet. I currently have 2 dogs, 7 cats and a rabbit. 6 of the 7 cats were hand raised/bottle fed by me. Information for animals needing to be boarded in my home: I live in a 1 story house. There are 3 steps to enter the front door and I have a ramp if needed for any disabled pups. I have a fenced in back yard where your larger dog can play with my 2 very friendly female (senior) dogs. Any dogs staying in my home will need to be good with cats and preferably dogs. A pre-stay meet and greet visit will be required to ensure a good fit with my pets.
