Pet care experience
I have had dogs (28 years) and cats (23 years) from an early age through adulthood. As current owner of a rescue dog with a number of eating issues, surgeries, and illnesses in her past, I have experience caring for a needy animal and am comfortable administering medications. Neighbors have relied on me to walk, feed, and love their pets, and I always enjoy the process of getting to know the quirky lovability of a new animal! After teaching horseback riding lessons for 6 years and growing up in the Midwest, I also am skilled at caring for a number of farm animals.

Cheri cared for our beloved Luna whenever our family was out of town, sometimes for extended periods of time. She is a true animal lover and a wonderful people person, so she's easy to communicate and get along with. Cheri is organized, reliable, trustworthy, and has a big heart for lots of caring. She shared photos of Luna's stay at their home, which was an unexpected and greatly appreciated touch. Our dog was always happy to join her family in our absence, which made it easier to leave her. We were always 100% confident in her ability to be responsible for this precious member of our family. As further evidence, when our dear pup passed unexpectedly, Cheri and her family grieved with us for the loss. Cher gets my highest recommendation as a dog sitter!
My Diego is a senior dog and Cheri is wonderfully sweet and nurturing to him. He is always excited to see her and cuddle right up to her for lots of belly rubs and love. She is very patient on walks with him when he loves to let his nose take over and sniff the entire neighborhood. She gives him all of his meds with meals. She does a great job leaving the house tidy, probably cleaner than I left it! Under Cheri's care, Diego doesn't get anxious when I have to leave him and that eases my mind greatly to know he's happy and his needs are met.
