Pet care experience
I have 20 years experience volunteering in animal rescue. I know how to administer medications via syringe, tend to wounds, flea and parasite treatment, and I'm confident working with animals who have behavioral issues. I have done some dog training and continue to learn more every day. I have a geriatric dog, and all 3 of my dogs are rescued, along with 7 cats! I've also had a range of exotic animals in the past, am alligator named Fingers when I was a teenager, and small critters like bunnies, ferrets, Tarantulas, I love every animal I meet.
Reviews
Chelsie has been a wonderful communicator in our time working together. She’s spent time with my dogs and has a good eye for dog communication and body language. I am grateful to have her as a back up plan for when I need a dog sitter. My dogs love her and I appreciate her.
Over the years I have watched Chelsie rescue many animals including dogs and cats. She has nursed them all back to health and made sure they all had regular visits to the vet. Any animal that has fallen into her care has had a full and happy life. She genuinely loves all animals. I would highly recommend her for care of your pets. Steve L.
Chelsie is the most animal-passionate person I know! Not only does she love animals, she also rescues those in need. She has always cared for and re-homed many fur babies under numerous circumstances. She can handle all sorts of behavioral and medical issues with the fullest determination and success. Since I could remember, she's always had ferrets, rats, dogs, cats, and much more in an incredibly loving and healthy home. Chelsie is the number one caregiver for your family member!
Chelsie is an amazing person who loves every single animal she comes across as if they are her own. She takes great care with all animals and strives to work each animal on a leash to help them with training while also having fun with them.

Safety, trust & environment
My animals are on a strict routine and love it. I have 3 rescues who have had food insecurity prior to living with me so they are kennel fed separately to ensure everyone is comfortable and safe. I flea treat the house weekly, flea treat my pets biweekly, and deworm everyone monthly, and bathe everyone regularly. I scoop my cat boxes daily and deep clean them weekly, my animals being happy is important to a safe clean happy home.
Information Chelsie L. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has any special needs or behavior problems so we can have a safe visit. I need to know about Leash aggression, resource guarding, any fear triggers. I've walked some really fearful dogs before and it's taken time to build trust, but it's possible if I know what their boundaries are.
A typical day
Every time a dog leaves the house it's like going to an amusement park for them. There are so many smells and visual stimulation, I want to make sure they explore safely and follow their noses. I love to challenge them on leash training if needed, recall on leash, redirection, all of it. If the dog park is empty, I want to get the dogs running, chasing balls and just get them moving, a tired dog is a good dog!

I need to find work that I can schedule myself as I am now a full-time caregiver to my husband who has cancer. While my teens are home I have time to break away and do what I love, spending time with animals.
