Pet care experience
I grew up with a menagerie of pets; dogs, cats, birds, lizards, snakes, fish, etc. As an adult, I have worked seasonally or a rotational schedule for years, which made it difficult for me to own my own pets. Due to this, whenever I was settled in a place, I was always the first to offer to watch friends and famalies pets (for free), just for the fun of being around them! I am lucky enough to have a dog now, who is wonderful with other dogs, but he can be isolated from clients dogs if necissary. I genuinely love dogs (and cats and fish et al) of all shapes, ages, and sizes, but if your dog requires solo walks or boarding, prices will be higher. I will respect your instructions for their care TO THE LETTER, as I have personally experienced what it is like to have a pet sitter not follow instructions. That won't be me! I look forward to meeting you and your pet!

Chelsea has watched our dog several times. She is wonderful with her and clearly loves dogs. She is great with taking her out for walks and hikes and giving her tons of snuggles! I would highly recommend her to any person for dog walking or sitting.
Chelsea is wonderful with dogs. She has taken care of my dogs. They were very relaxed and happy when I came back. She watered and fed them as I asked as well as walking them twice a day. She makes sure they are safe. When my dog was old, she did her favorite things that would not tire our dog out too much. When we had a puppy, Chelsea was young enough to play and keep up with the pup! Chelsea is very trustworthy and I would have her take care of any of my pets.

I have a small dog-friendly house, which includes a fenced yard in the back and a cable run in the front of the house. There is also an enclosed porch off of the back yard, which is where I feed my dog, and where I will feed dogs I am sitting. Dogs are not allowed on furniture in my home with out being 'invited' up, which we almost always do! My dog is a husky/rottweiler mix who has never shown any issues with other dogs, small or large. However, if your dog doesnt get along well with others, or you are concerned due to a size difference in the animals, please let me know, and I can isolate the pumps from each other in the house, and let yours out in the back yard and mine on the run in the front yard. If a pup is with me for the full day, I will take him/her on atleast 1 hour long walk, or 2 shorter walks. You must provide food, treats, and toys, and instructions about feeding etc.

First and foremost, what you, the owner, thinks is a good plan for the pet! Number of walks, times for feeding, stance on treats, training plans you are trying to stick to etc.. I really love all dogs, and those with any behavioral issues are welcome, but I MUST be thoroughly briefed/warned before hand so I can keep myself, my partner, and my dog safe. If your pup does not do well with other dogs or has any aggression issues towards people, I must know before hand. I expect any dietary or behavioral requirements to be clearly communicated via text or email, not just word of mouth, so I have a written reference on hand so I can ensure I provide exactly the care you want!
A typical day
My dog and I love hiking the steep, difficult trails, and running in town or at Abercrombie park. If your pup is a runner and needs a lot of exercise, we can provide at no additional charge! However, we (Steve the dog and I) are VERY happy to go for mellower walks, play sticks or ball in the yard, or just cuddle on the couch (when he is invited!). If you want your dog to have more one on one time with out my dog or other client's dogs around, that is no problem at all, we can accommodate for additional fees.

Availability
I am currently working a rotational schedule, which keeps my busy for 5 weeks then completely free for about 3 weeks. If I am on an off rotation, I will do my very best to accommodate your needs and schedule!
