Hi, I'm Chelsea and I'd love to care for your four-legged loved one! My background: I grew up in a household that always included cats, dogs, and guinea pigs as family members. In high school, I started walking shelter dogs and spending time with the kitties in the cattery for a community service project. I loved it so much I continued for 2 years in college until my course load got too heavy. I continued to live with and co-parent pets since my roommates had them, including a high energy cattle dog named Kingsley and two kitties named Neville and Ginny (Yes, they were all named after Harry Potter characters). Since then, I've been pet-sitting for friends and family. Last year, I did my first non-familial pet-sitting gig for a coworker and her kitty Mr. Gray. Why pet-sitting? I love animals and I want to spend more time caring for them! Currently, I work seasonally as a wildlife biology technician. This means I travel a lot studying wildlife in different parts of the country. Pet-sitting seems like the perfect way to earn income between my seasonal work AND get my animal fix! Why hire me? I take any pet sitting gig I accept as a serious responsibility. I know that pets are family members. Each animal has its own personality, quirks, preferences, and fears. I promise to listen to you and your pet. I will treat them with love, compassion, and respect and keep them happy and safe. Oh and I also love to PLAY just as much as the pets do! Who would I like to pet-sit for? I am open to all breeds of dogs and cats. I also would be excited to care for rodents, reptiles, birds, fish, you name it!
