Pet care experience
Hello, and thank you for checking out Lockhart Pet Sitting! 🐾 The idea of leaving your beloved pets with a total stranger is one of the most nerve-wracking experiences, and I appreciate you considering booking with me for your family's needs. I'm here to offer a unique, stress-free experience for your furry family member - an alternative to the typical kennel boarding. My service is all about providing crate-free constant care. This means your pets will enjoy 24/7 attention and will never be left unattended while in my care, giving them the freedom to relax, play, and feel at home, all the time without being stuck inside a kennel for long peroids of time. Similarly, I give high quality and individualized care for house sitting and drop ins. As a pet-parent myself, I understand the need to find that perfect fit for your furry family member, and I encourage you to reach out to me with any questions or concerns not otherwise addressed in my profile. I’m also very proud to have a collection of 5-star reviews from repeat guests. Don't just take my word for it - feel free to browse through the reviews above to see what others have said about their experiences with us!
Reviews
Excellent sitter! Super chill vibe, easy to communicate with, flexible, and took great care of Hazel! Will be boarding with Chelsea again for two more week-long vacations this year.
Chelsea was great! I needed last minute care for my pet and she saved the day. She was very accommodating and sent me pictures and updated me through out the day. She eased my anxiety and I knew Edward was in great hands!
Chelsea is the best dog sitter I've had! She is a great communicator and lets me know how my dog is doing the whole time. I never have to worry when I'm gone, I know Chelsea has it covered!
Chelsea was fantastic for us. She was responsive right away and was able to be booked on last minute notice. Chelsea was extremely thoughtful and conscientious when it came to taking care of our pup. She was on top of it and did a fantastic job. Very thorough as she gave us a report card at the end of our dogs visit. Highly recommend Chelsea, and will be sure to use her services again when we visit Orlando!

I have an entirely fenced-in back yard with 6ft privacy vinyl and friendly cattle dogs that would be happy to show your pet all the best places to sniff and hang out outside... although they are big barkers when new guests first arrive! All of our doggie guests are welcomed to hang out on the couch in our main living room for TV, naps, cuddles, and general relaxation. If I am inside, your dog is inside, and if I am in the yard, so are they.

IMPORTANT: Please be sure to complete your user profile AND your dog(s)' profile before submitting a boarding, daycare, or walk request. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. Please let me know the following to ensure the best care possible: 1. Behavioral & Medical Concerns: Any specifics about your dog's behavior, medical conditions, or other vital information. 2. Compatibility with Other Dogs: As I have dogs of my own (one who is senior and one who is special needs/blind), it is crucial that I know if your dog is reactive. I am able to accommodate dog reactive dogs in my home by rotating spaces - ie, your reactive dog will never interact or see my own and will trade time in the yard, in the living room, etc - but you MUST tell me in advance so I can plan accordingly. 3. Crate Training Requirement: While I pride my service on being crate-free, I require dogs to be crate trained to board with me in case of an emergency or unexpected destructive, aggressive, or unsafe behavior. If you are boarding a reactive dog with me, this is even more important so that they can be rotated safely - this is non negotiable. 4. Your Normal Routine: Does your dog sleep in a bed or a crate? Have a favorite snack? Any quirks or fears I should know about? The more I know, the more at home your pet will feel! What to Bring: 1. Collar or Harness with tags and a leash 2. Food/Medicine 3. Blanket and/or a bed 4. Bowls What Not to Bring: 1. Toys - I have plenty and my own two dogs tend to kill squeakers. I don't want them to damage your dog's favorite stuffie!
A typical day
A typical day with me begins with outside time in the yard! My dogs love to play tag and frisbee there, but also sunbathe on the patio and soak up some rays. Breakfast is served inside and in a designated area with guest dogs/my own separated to prevent bickering. Play is encouraged with many toys inside and outside the house, and throughout the day we will go in and out several times. Another favorite pastime is to take leisurely strolls around Riverside Acres park, pictured in my profile photos. Beyond that, there are dog beds in almost every room in the house, so there is ample room to nap and relax before dinner and bedtime. NEW March 2024! I am so pleased to share that we now have a SwiftPaws course that your dog is able to chase and enjoy! SwiftPaws is a lure-chasing system (similar to fastCAT) that makes the best game of chase ever, and was actually featured on SharkTank. I have added additional images to my profile so you can see the fun!

Availability
My services include Boarding, House Sitting, Drop-In Visits (for all kinds of pets!), Doggy Day Care (Monday-Friday, 6:30am-6:30pm), and Dog Walking. Please find my rates on the platform. The pricing reflects the quality of care your pets will receive and includes my 'constant care' approach, ensuring your pets are never left unattended. Currently, I only take overnight boarding guests from one family at a time in my home so your pet will get all the attention they deserve. We (my dogs and I) are EXTREMELY little dog and senior/special needs friendly for in-home boarding and daycare. I am also very cat savvy (even with diabetic kitties needing injections) for drop in visits and house sitting in your home!
