Energetic & Reliable Dog Person
Pet care experience
Hi! I'm Chelsea, a 32 year old grad student and school board employee living in Pompano. My family has always owned dogs, and I have raised 2 puppies on my own! I have been a proud fur Mommy my entire adult life myself and have cared for animals of pretty much every size, age, breed, variety etc. I love all shape and size pups! I provide walks and drop ins most often, but I am happy to house/pet sit as well and am able to board in my apartment. I also provide doggy day care! I am a full time student and social worker so my schedule is fairly flexible, and I love taking them to the dog beach, Park & Ocean, or the park!! I work full time for the school board but it is flexible to allow me to stop by and check in during some work days if needed. I’m off by 3 everyday, and I live with my boyfriend Dylan who does contract work and is often available to help with care while I’m at work (you can meet him as well so you know who your fur baby is in the hands of :) ) We recently adopted a 6 month old tripawd named Mami, who also lives with us. She is very sweet and good with other dogs. I’m available throughout the day for feeding, exercise, play and cuddles. I don’t have a fenced yard at the moment but I do have a great deal of experience walking dogs of all energy levels and sizes and would enjoy getting them out for an exciting new sniff. Very spacious apartment with plenty of room to stretch your paws. There are nice lake trails all around the complex I like to walk on perfect for walking a four legged lil buddy. All fur babies follow their owners’ rules about furniture, jumping, and anything else. No restrictions on bed cuddles unless mom and dad say so! I typically work until 3 pm M-F but it is flexible enough to stop by the house if needed. My partner works on his own schedule and is often available to help with care as well, even while I’m at work on many days. After 3, I’m pretty much free to play and love on your fuzzy pride and joy, take walks, etc! I live in a 2/2 apartment; I do not have a fenced yard but would walk them on a leash on the paved paths around the lakes in the complex area, or we would go to the park. I try to err on tbe side of caution with all dogs regardless of size and temperament when walking/at the park as far as socializing with other dogs, but you know your pet and can tell me all about them! I only accept one booking at a time also for safety and do not currently have a pet of my own (for the first time in my life, so you know I’m missing that dog love!) I am very happy and comfortable in a home with multiple pets- growing up we often had 2-5 dogs, a cat or two, and sometimes fish, Guinea pigs, bunnies, turtles, etc.

Chelsea did a good job with my two dogs
Chelsea was great. She was really nice. She kept us updated everyday and sends us photos of our babies. I definitely recommend.
Chelsea H. cancelled a booking 2 days before it was scheduled to begin.
Is there any option to put 10 stars? It was the first time we had to leave our 10 month puppy with a dog sitter for a week. Of course we were very nervous! However, Chelsea was so kind to meet us and our dog in advance, showed us her apartment, answered all of my questions, and patiently listened to all care instructions! We received pictures of our puppy every day. Chelsea did everything so that we could enjoy our vacation and not worry about our dog. She is my dream dog sitter, very reliable!! She is definitely someone I would book again and recommend to my friends!

Though we do not have a fenced yard at this stage of life, we do have a nice walking trail behind the complex we love to use. We always use a leash and/or harness and are careful about allowing dogs to say “hello” to other pets we don’t know for safety. We can use a crate (with lots of love and not as punishment) if necessary for pups with separation anxiety, chewing/teething, and accidents, if we both have to step away for a bit. However one of us is often available much of the day for supervision and attention.

Information Chelsea H. would like to know about your pet
I am happy to care for any dog of any breed, size, or age with any special conditions. I have raised, trained, and cared for puppies and cared for several senior dogs that needed help eating, using the restroom, etc. as well as frequent medication. I do not mind watching more than one dog. Please let me know just so I can be prepared if your pet has accidents, chews/has anxious behavior, needs to explicitly be kept distant from other pets or people, has a common injury to look out for, runs away, or barks a lot. I love them all regardless but I don’t live in a home I own, so I just need to consider modifications to keep from violating apartment policies.

I'm happy to dog-sit in my home or yours, walk, groom, bath, pick up, drop off, train (I'm not a professional, just personal experience), check on, feed and water, etc. I'd even love to play with them or take them to the dog park if you want me to! I will spend all or most of the day with them as most of the time I study at home! I usually send a few check-ins and photos during his/her stay to reassure pet parents that their loved ones are happy and healthy :) Booking online can be scary sometimes, and leaving your pet with ANYONE can be terrifying! We live near the beach and I frequently take puppers to the dog beach, Park & Ocean, Oleta, yoga, etc. whatever you feel comfortable with! I usually only take dogs I watch on walks nearby unless explicitly told they can go anywhere and would love to adventure with me :D Policies: -If I watch your fur baby at my house, I always want to have a meet and greet first to make sure our pets are a good match. -I prefer to watch pets that are house trained, but just let me know if you have a puppy, older dog losing control of bowels, or dog who may potty inside occasionally, and depending on the circumstances I'll either charge a little more or it may be fine! -If you are very late picking your pet up (i.e. you paid for 5 nights, but you aren't able to pick them up until after 10 pm the final night or the next day), there will be an additional 1/2 day charge unless there are extenuating/emergency circumstances. I wouldn't do this except it's happened SO often and is a big inconvenience to re-plan and re-schedule! -Your due baby is welcome to sit with me in bed and on the couch if you let them at home! If you don't let them on the furniture, no big deal! Just let me know and I'll keep the same rules here so there is no confusion for him/her/them in the transition (: -Please bring food for your pet and any medications they may need :) -If I watch your pet(s) at your home, I will never bring another dog into the house. I follow all of your household rules in your home- pets allowed or not allowed on furniture, allowed or not allowed scraps, # feedings and walks daily, visitors allowed or not (unless you explicitly say that I can have someone over, I NEVER will).

Availability
I have a fairly flexible work schedule and am typically free by 3; I share care with my partner Dylan whose work schedule varies, meaning he is often available at times I am not. Weekends are free.
