Hello my name is Chelsea, I have 1 dog ( Guage) 2 cats and a bearded dragon. Ever since I was a young girl I knew I always wanted to work with animals. I honestly like animals better than ppl. ? ( I'm sure some of u can relate .??) When I graduate high school I got a job at a boarding kennel. I thought great I'm gonna get the play with dog and other animals and learn about them and itll be awesome! I should mention that this was my second job. I had and still currently work as a server in a restaurant. So I started at the kennel back in 2008 and what a journey it was. I found out very quickly it was alot harder than I first thought. It's not just playing with dogs lol. Its was hard, dirty, sometimes smelly, sometimes scary ? and sometimes heart break ?. But with all of that came alot,... alot.... of fun! U really bond and love the animals that come in. Some came in regularly and were such a joy to take care of. U heard there name and was excited to see them! At this time I was also being trained to be a dog groomer. With that said I can do some grooming ( i.e. nail trim, brush out, de-shed and baths for an additional fee ) I truly loved to go to work and see who all was there. After almost 10 years of working at the kennel I left to pursue other opportunities. As I said I also work as a server so my days off and hours vary. Let me tell u alittle about my home. I live in a small quiet town. I own my own home and I have a large back yard. But it is not fenced in. My own dog is trained to my yard. He knows his limits. With any dog that would stay with me at my home will only be outside on a leash and under my constant supervision. Although I do plan on installing a fence in the spring. I have a 2 story home, but we would really be down stairs for any day care. I have a large living room, extra room that I call the dog room. When I moved in I had another dog who was my absolute world. He was my 95 lbs German shepherd and he was the sweetest soul. I gave him everything lol he had his own treadmill so we could work out together, his own toy box ect. He was my furry son. I recently lost him back in Sept 2018. And it was very sudden. I was just devastated. Now Guage has inherited the dog room and we want to share the dog room with other dogs too! Well I've gone on awhile now, I would love to meet u and ur beloved pets.
