Chelsea is the best dog sitter ive had on this site so far. And ive had a few dog sitters. Shes real nice to my dogs and you can tell shes a real animal lover. Which is most important in my opinion. She treats them as if they were her own. Would highly recommend her for next time.

We hired Chelsea to do home visits with 2 cats at two different homes (1 per house). While one house appeared to go off without a problem the second was not as lucky. Chelsea sent a text about the temperature in the house being extremely hot, the Christmas tree being knocked down, and a counter being a mess and decorations knocked down. This is very unusual behavior for this 8 year old cat who is more dog like than cat. Once we arrived home it was clear the house had been heated to an extreme temperature as candles were melted, yes melted, downstairs and several plants were completely dead. The Christmas tree limb closest to the heating vent was completely dry and brown (this was a live tree harvested from Dog Valley 3 days before her visit so it was fresh). The heater in this house was just replaced weeks ago so I know it was not a malfunction on the part of the heater. I logged into NV Energy and sure enough my gas usage the first day she arrived and the next day (when she texted the house was really hot) was WAY above average. Chelsea verified with me over text the brand new Lennox thermostat was indeed set to 68. Our cat is not an outdoor cat but will on occasion want to go outside and sit on the porch with the door open so she can quickly get back inside. I told Chelsea this and my guess with what the conditions of the house and the extreme temperature and gas usage show is that she opened the sliding door for our cat and then forgot to close it. The neighbors cat got inside and there was a fight causing the tree to get knocked down and the decoration on the counter (where the cat food was located) was a mess. I asked Chelsea if she forgot to close the door and she had a lot of excuses. Mistakes are made and no one is perfect but when you are trusted with the care of a person's pet and home and then can't own a mistake, well, I take exception to that. Luckily our cat was not hurt, plants and candles can be replaced and Christmas trees and be stood back up but my trust in Chelsea is gone. We will never use her again and with the lack of accountability I cannot recommend her. I did not ask Chelsea to pay for two days of over average gas usual or to replace plants and candles, I just wanted the truth and she didn't own it.
