Lets get this party started!

Pet care experience

Hi I'm Chelsea a dog obsessed, responsible 34 year old Washington native. I own a home in Shoreline with a gigantic fully fenced backyard with a gate that leads to a small forest located at the end of a quiet culdesac. I've apprenticed at the UCLA Dog school for about two years now and have grown a deep affinity and love for canines. My approach to dogs and training is consistent with the most current education of dog behavior. I have two dogs Rocky and Buster. Buster is a 2 1/2 year old Bichon terrier mix and Rocky is a 1 1/2 year old Pommeranian both of them I got as puppies and were rescued. They love to do tricks, run, shake their toys, wrestle, and play all day. Buster and Rocky are sure to keep your dog exercised and entertained. Why I love dog sitting I have always been a committed animal lover but I got my first dog Buster about 2 1/2 years ago and I became obsessed immediately. The amazing fact that I was able to communicate with my dog was not lost on me, I soaked it all up. I read books and went to training with Buster, it became very apparent that what I enjoyed doing was being with dogs so it was a very easy choice for me to take on dog care as a career. I attended the Dog walking academy at UCLA Dog Training and became dog tech certified as well as CPR and first aid certified. I have apprenticed at UCLA Dog Training for about 2 years now and I have a strong knowledge of positive training. I am not the Commanding alpha that will rule your dog through fear I am the loving partner who will gain your dogs trust and respect with lots of praise attention and treats. I am proactive and have diligently studied dog behavior so I'm generally able to catch any situation before it gets out of hand. Timeouts are my general go to for discipline, they are quick and painless but I feel when diligent the dog figures this out quickly and will not continue the unwanted behavior. Meet my pets I have a lovely 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home with a doggy den. It's on the end of a quiet culdesac and is puppy proofed for your dogs safety and for your peace of mind. I have two kitties who keep to themselves outside. They are never allowed in the doggy den. Also, for your dogs safety I have video surveillance to make sure everybody is being behaved if I'm not there. About my yard I have an enormous fully fenced backyard it's about 6500 sq ft. As of right now I've got a concrete patio and the rest is grass. It also has a gate to a small forest providing a little dose of nature for your furry friend.

Chelsea was fantastic and our dog was comfortable and happy in her care. I appreciated and loved her texts/pics updates! Even with a very young baby she makes caring for multiple dogs look easy. Chelsea exudes a calm and confident vibe. And if I may suggest to any who thinks their dog should be the only one being cared for, if you find the right sitter like Chelsea, your dog will be better off since she does such a great job; after all dogs are pack animals and thrive in a positive environment with the right guidance like hers. Thank you Chelsea!

Information Chelsea D. would like to know about your pet

I want to know what gets your dog going in all regards. What motivates him? What startles him? Was he adopted? Has he been in any altercations? Does he have any allergies? Does he play with toys? Has he gone to training and where? I have no breed preferences but I am not interested in taking on any dogs that might be a threat to my pack. Dogs are dogs and stuff happens but if you use choke chains squirt bottle and fear based training methods your dog probably won't work in my pack.

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks Your dog will go on walks around the neighborhood and the forest behind my home. We will also frequently attend the Edmonds dog park as well as Magnuson. Your dog's sleeping arrangement I have a large 400 sq. foot doggy den dedicated to my guests it's filled with crates (if thats their preference) dog beds a couple couches, interactive toys, and a 42 inch LCD tv dedicated to a doggy network meant to add some novel extra stimulation and relaxation on their down time. Time I'll spend with your dog The majority of my day. I want your dog stimulated and then tired. You can be assured I will achieve this everyday.
