Pet care experience
I am currently learning to become a dog trainer and reading books on their behavior. I volunteer with Motely each week and I strive to keep educating myself so I can eventually become an animal behaviorist. I also use Wag! and have created a small business there as well.
Reviews
Chelsea has worked with dogs in the past at a doggy daycare and I’ve seen her firsthand with my family’s pets. She knows how to properly care for a dog while also still providing it with love and comfort. Your dog’s will be happy you let her walk them!!
Chelsea loves animals with all her heart. She's had pets for her entire life and currently cares for two cats, two guinea pigs, and one rat with as much care and devotion as you can possibly imagine. She's always concerned about their well being, always making sure that the pets have ample playtime and things to do. She's always reading up on the best way to care for animals and is currently getting certified for dog training to, not only help other people's pets, but her own when it comes time to fulfil her aspirations of a new puppy. I'd choose Chelsea to care for my pets any day of the week if the need arises.

Pets are like children. I always know where they are or what they are doing, and I keep a close eye on their language. Vocalizations, body language, facial expressions are all ways for animals to communicate to me. I gain trust by making sure the dogs are comfortable with me and doing proper introductions. I respect their boundaries but also try and demonstrate that they can trust me, and I am their protector while their owners are gone. I follow instructions and make sure overall that all animals are cared for like they are my own.

Behavior and training. I prefer that pet parents provide as much detail as they can about their fur babies. It helps me understand the animal and how to make the first meeting a smooth transition and stress-free experience for the pet. Also, anything they are allergic to.
A typical day
Activities, if the owner is comfortable, I like practicing basic training with high energy dogs. It helps them feel stimulated and drains some of their energy. I also of course love playing with toys and giving them lots of love. I don't have a preference on walks since it depends on the neighborhood, I'm in.

Availability
I am learning to expand my knowledge and education on animals, specifically dogs/puppies. While volunteering is very helpful (since I work directly with rescues), I figured I could meet animals and "practice" what I have learned in training and implement that with the lovely dogs I meet from here.
