I'm 28 years old and I've always had pets in my life. From a young age I've had a love for animals. I'm one of those girls who falls in love with every pup at the dog park. That being said, I know the best kind of pet care is one that is structured. When it comes to engaging with pets, especially shy animals, I always meet them where they are. Building trust with an animal is paramount, especially as a ‘stranger’. 28 years of pet ownership gives you an upperhand in understanding how dogs think and how to earn their trust. I've dog sat for several families- at most three dogs at a time. Breeds and ages varied from a 1 year old English Mastiff a 15 year old terrier. I would usually stay at the owner's house (if they liked) and feed, walk, play with, and even sleep with their dogs (if asked to). I loved it- there is nothing like making sure somebody doesn't have to worry about their pets when they are away! Most pet behaviors can be fixed with exercise, focused attention, and time spent one-on-one. In today's busy world, that can sometimes be hard for pet owners to accomplish; I hope to help you make every moment with your pet the happiest and ease your mind when you have to be away.
