Animal Care Professional
Pet care experience
Until January 2022, at which point I became a Stay at Home Parent, I worked as the Shelter Director for the Humane Society of Chittenden County. I also worked directly with the animals in Animal Care for 3 years prior to that position. I have extensive training in cat, dog, and small animal behavior and care. Outside of the professional realm, I have been fortunate enough to share my life with 2 dogs and 2 cats of my own. I have real life experience with dog to dog and dog to human reactivity and the use of positive reward based training. When it comes to cats; shy, feisty, velcro, talkative, cuddly, or independent… I love them all :) I had to take a break from Rover for a couple of years while my job at the shelter was all consuming along with the birth of my son, but now I have time and capacity to get back at it! I built great relationships with past animal clients and I look forward to getting to do that again!
Reviews
Great communicator and flexible. She listen to last minute care need and made sure my baby was comfortable and happy
Chelsea was great!
Chelsea did an excellent job looking in on and caring for Mr Magoo (my cat) while we visited our Extended family. She is very caring and responsible. We were very comfortable knowing she was caring for our precious bundle of fur. I recommend her highly to anyone in need of animal care!
Chelsea was absolutely amazing. We are so happy to have found her to help us with our dogs while visiting Vermont.

I’m up for following your furry friends cues. Are they a little nervous and would rather hang out inside and “get to know each other” a little more? No problem! Are they ready to get outside and romp around or go explore? No problem!
Information Chelsea B. would like to know about your pet
Anything they are allergic to? How do they typically respond to strangers and stimuli in the outside world? Any areas they are sensitive to handling/being touched?
A typical day
Does your dog/cat/smallie need an emotional support check in while waiting for you to get home (?)? I gotcha covered! Dog need a little energy outlet and time away from they’re “hoomans”… let’s go for a walk and explore the area!
Services
Chelsea can watch in your home
Availability
As a Stay at Home Parents, I am available for walks and drop in visits in the evenings and on the weekends. If your furry friend is good with young children, I may be able to assist during the day with my toddler in tow.
