Dog-friendly home, fenced in yard!

Pet care experience

As a dog owner for most of my life, I understand how important it is to trust your pet is in good hands when you're not present. I became a dog sitter to help provide pups with the love and attention they need! I’ve always helped friends out with dog sitting, and it’s been a great experience every time. I’ve owned or dog sat a variety of breeds over my life and am equally comfortable watching over a tiny Yorkie as I am with a 100lb Mastiff. I work in the arts industry, so my work schedule is pretty flexible. That means that I’m a good fit for dogs that need a little bit more attention or perhaps don’t like to spend too much time alone. Though I’ll be the primary caregiver, my wife likes to help out on occasion, and my 12 year old always enjoys a little playtime! (We do ask that all dogs that come to us be child-friendly.) We currently have one dog of our own: Jasmine, a seven-year-old Blue Heeler mix. Jasmine will lick you to death if allowed! Not only am I a fan of Cesar Milan (aka The Dog Whisperer), I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with him in my job capacity doing production management for his touring show. I definitely learned a thing or two from him, and really enjoyed speaking to him at length about how he handles dogs. We’ve incorporated some of his training techniques in our own home and know the value of good training techniques. We live in a neighborhood called Creek Bend in Hutto. We have very nice neighbors, most of whom are friendly dog owners. It’s relatively quiet and low key for the most part, and, best of all, easily accessible to walking trails or drives to nearby dog parks. Our backyard is medium-sized: large enough for several dogs to run around and play but not so large that you ever lose sight of them. We have a large patio for shade and various rabbits & squirrels for barking at!

Excellent responses and care for my cats. Really appreciate the attention to details. Would definitely use again and recommend to others too.

Cheles was very patient and worked in a time crunch with my Abe and me. Abe returned home happy and exhausted from play with new friends. I highly recommend Cheles.

I've know Cheles for over 20 years and he's had several dogs in his home that were very happy. He's very good with dogs that aren't even his own. I think he would be a great addition to Rover.

Cheles and his team provide a safe and positive environment where the dogs feel welcome and at home, and they can have fun and relax.

Information Cheles R. would like to know about your pet

Some things I like to learn ahead of time: Would you like to schedule a meet-and-greet before the stay? Does your pup have any health issues that need to be tended to? For instance, dietary restrictions, medicine, or behavior triggers? Does your pup like to stick to a given schedule, like regular walks in the morning and evening? What does your pup do well around? What does your pup try to avoid? What’s the best way to spoil your pup?

A typical day

I know that getting plenty of exercise is the key to a good stay! My own doggie likes to get out fairly frequently, and we’ve narrowed down some great spots nearby to visit. I like to take the dogs on walks around the track near the park close to our home; it’s perfect for a quick run. There’s also a larger dog park not too far away in Round Rock, where I love to play fetch. There’s definitely just some quality couch lounging and petting time that we’ve carved out in the day's plans as well!
