Pet care experience
We love all sorts of pups, big, small, shy, rambuctions. We have experience with all of the above and more. We are an active family on the Peninsula, conveniently located 5 minutes from the airport. We have a medium-sized, fenced in backyard where your pet can romp and play whenever they like. When it comes to cozy time, your loved one can get as much or as little attention as they like and they are free to get cozy anywhere they like. We began fostering dogs about 5 years ago and have experience with finding over 200 pups their forever home. Through that experience we have learned how to interact with all types of dog behaviors and quirks. Through fostering, we created many relationships that launched our small business. Many of our clients are former adopters.

Chauntel and her family again proved my confidence in caring for our dog. She and her family give attention all day. Our dog lapped up all the care. Our dog is happy to see us when we show up, however, she is not darting out the door to leave. Chauntel and her family make any stay there very interesting for any dog. Lots of attention and care. They are experts at handling Dogs and the Dog's Family. Our dog loves all the interaction with the Family and the other dogs.
I was worried about finding a place for our cocker Chance to stay...we rescued him 7 years ago and he is always with us. This was the first time leaving him. Over the years we found he had a few behavioral issues and I was a little leary. When I saw Chauntel's name I was so excited...this was the family that fostered our dog from the rescue group. They still live in the same home with a huge backyard. We brought him over and she immediately put us at ease. Honestly, he had the best time! We received updates and short videos while we were gone...every time I saw him he was wagging his tail. He made friends with their pets and children. When we returned to pick him up he greeted us and then returned to play with Chauntel's 2 year old Penelope his new BFF. I am planning a longer trip next time, not sure who will be more excited about the vacation us or him!! Thank you, thank you, thank you Chauntel & Co. for such a wonderful time!

Before caring for a dog, I would like to know if it has been treated with a flea preventative and if it is current on all vaccinations. I would also like to know if your pet has been spayed or neutered. In addition, it would be helful to know if any behavioral issues or quirks as I have young children and first and foremost want to ensure their safety. My children have a tone of experience with dogs of all sizes (as small as two lbs) and they are very careful.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks We generally take the dogs around the neighborhood. We also have a dog park nearby if that is what your pup is accustomed to. We will never let a dog off leash unless you tell us that's what you would like. We are extremely cautious with our guests and will not take any chances. Your dog's sleeping arrangement The dogs are welcome to sleep wherever they are most comfortable. Our general rule is if the dog can jump on the bed they can sleep there. We have some clients who prefer their pups sleep in a crate and that is fine too. Please check with us if that is your preference and we might have a crate for your pet's use during their stay that way you don't need to pack so much. Time I'll spend with your dog We are available to your pet all day. If we need to run errands we have designated areas around the house where dogs can feel comfortable and we can regulate which dogs interact without our supervision. Time I'll spend with your dog Thursday - Sunday your dog will have 24 hour supervision and companionship. Monday - Wednesday your pup will be played with every two - four hours until we return from work. I am a teacher and I am home by 3:30, my husband works for the family business down the street and comes home at lunch. Your pet is also welcome at our family busniess if they need constant supervision. (This is how we accomodated the small puppy) Extra house-sitting services At this time, we do not offer in home visits.

About this sitter: Our home is full of love and full of friends, both furry and not. We love to open our home to doggie friends that have traveling loved ones. We are located right off Hwy 101 about 10 minutes from the airport. We have fostered for years and have return clients who adopted their furever friend from our home. We have clients that leave their loved ones for the weekend or for a month. References available upon request. We also have experience administering meds and working with dogs that have specific needs (i.e. diet or limited mobility).
