I've grown up around animals, though I have never had the pleasure of having a dog as a companion, I often assisted friends with caring for theirs. As a believer in animal rights and animal activism, I view all animals as equal in value to humans and I associate an element of sacredness to all sentient beings. I adore spending time with dogs and allowing for genuine and compassionate connections to develop. I also love learning about the behaviors and personalities of each animal I have the privilege of caring for. If I see dogs waiting outside of stores for their companions, I often briefly visit with them and give them attention and love. I feel as though these interactions are therapeuric for both me and the dog.
