Life is better with animals in it!

Pet care experience

I have been a life long animal lover. I have had always had a dog or taken care of someone else's as well as fish, a random rat that I hid from my parents in highschool and 3 rabbits when I was little. I have worked professionally in 3 different animal related fields, 1 year in sales, 1 year in rescue and currently on 1 year of petsitting. I have a seasonal full time job that leaves me with a lot of time on my hands in the North Dakota winters. One of my friends suggested I started pet sitting knowing my love for animals. I thought she was crazy and it wouldn’t go anywhere but here I am 1 year later and looking to expand my services, meet more people and help out with their fur babies any way I can. I started doing pet sitting in the homes of the pet since I wasn’t able to do it in my place at the time but it actually works out better this way. I find that all animals I have worked with are easier to work with in the comfort of their own home. I am comfortable with working with any animals except snakes and spiders. I don’t have a lot of experience with reptiles but am willing to learn given the opportunity. I have been around pretty much every breed of dog out there and love how pet sitting has helped me to do that. I am Fear Free Certified and strive to make any experience with animals as positive as possible. I have basic training knowledge that I have learned over the years from working with rescue animals and things I have taught myself and like to incorporate with my petsittings if allowed. I have trained puppies of my own as well as helping other people with their owns and also have experince with caring for newborn puppies and their mothers.

Chassis was a blessing to have to watch our old girl overnight. Very accommodating and caring, which we truly appreciate! Highly recommend!!

10/10! This was our first time having someone come and stay with our aging doggo, and I can't tell you how comfortable I felt going on our vacation. My dog is basically my child and I had zero worries! She kept in contact with us and was very thoughtful and thorough about how we care for our dog so she could do her job just as well. I'll recommend Chassis all day to everyone, she's awesome!

We had the pleasure of having Chassis as our dog sitter for a week while we were away. From start to finish, Chassis provided exceptional care for our fur baby, Benji. She not only took excellent care of Benji but also made sure our home was spotless upon our return which was a wonderful surprise! Throughout the week, she went above and beyond to make sure Benji felt loved, cared for, and entertained. She was extra patient with him. She took him on regular walks, played games with him, and showered him with affection. Chassis communicated with us regularly, providing updates and photos on Benji's well-being, which gave us peace of mind during our time away. Chassis's professionalism and genuine love for animals shone through in her interactions with Benji, and it was evident that he was comfortable and happy in her presence. She followed all of our instructions regarding Benji's care, including his feeding, ensuring that he had a seamless transition while we were away. We highly recommend Chassis for anyone in need of a reliable and caring dog sitter.

I cannot recommend Chassis enough for pet/home sitting services! She is amazing and did so well with watching our pup and house while we were away for a 10 day vacation. We were so worried about finding someone to watch our dog, Ozzy, as he is deathly afraid of kennels due to some neglect from the breeder we got him from so we weren't able to board him anywhere. A friend of ours recommended Chassis and Ozzy was comfortable with her from the start. She did daily outside activities with him, even though it was during the winter months, and we got daily updates/ pictures of them on their adventures. You can tell she has a knack for animals and truly cares so I had no worries and was able to enjoy our vacation. She is the best and we will be using her for all of our future vacations!

I pride myself on interacting with pets closely and giving them the attention they need. Whether it is food enrichments, walks, basic training, bathing etc. I’ve also had my fair share of dogs that are totally fine with just cuddling and watching movies which comes in handy on bad weather days.

Information Chassis L. would like to know about your pet

I like to know as much about the pets as possible before providing services. If it’s just a check in, I don’t always require a meet and greet especially if I know the family but any over night or multiple day services, I like to go over everything beforehand and get as much information as possible. Special needs, medications, restrictions, daily feeding schedules, bathroom routines etc

A typical day

Every dog I’ve watched so far has been different from one to the next. I try to keep their schedules as normal as possible to ease any stress or anxiety they might have without their family and being around a new person. I always like to talk with the family and see what they are comfortable with me doing and not doing. North Dakota winters aren’t the greatest but I like to be outside as much as possible. Whether it’s going for a walk, going to the park, car rides, or just laying out for naps(yes some dogs have done that lol). I also like to incorporate food enrichments if allowed whether it’s lick mats, treat puzzles or hide and seek. I believe mental stimulation is very important to dogs. Dogs will not be left alone for more than 4 hours at a time while in my care.

I do have a current daytime job in Minot that I am working around. I can do check ins on my lunch break and after work during the week as well as in home stays if they're in town and I am totally available for anything on the weekends. Any service outside of Minot city limits will be subject to an extra charge for driving if accepted. Any service requested more than 10 miles outside of Minot to be determined depending on location. Anyone that is planning to be gone for more than one day, I do recommend overnight stays. I don't like leaving animals alone for more than 4-5 hours at a time or leaving them overnight by themselves if I don't have to.
