Chipper Critter Sitter! (=^・ェ・^=)

Pet care experience

Hi! Folks may know me as Vivian, Serene, or Chasity. Dogs are so good and just petting one can make my day. Hanging out with pups is a passion of mine. My experience with dogs starts in my childhood. I was raised with small, medium, and large dogs. Volunteering at my local humane society walking, grooming, and socializing dogs is something I started at a young age. I offer a wide range of services. I can also bring in the mail, water the plants, take out the garbage/recycling/compost, sweep, vacuum, etc when house sitting for you. I was in 4-H since I was old enough and left before aging out at 17. I've won a considerably large number of awards over the decade or so of showing and competition, going as far as the state fair. If you have kitties as well, I got you covered! I'm especially knowledgeable about cat care. I'm a cat parent, foster, sitter, and boarder. I'm confident at handling animals and completing more challenging tasks such as bathing, grooming, medicating, and nail trimming. I'm fragrance-free and a non-smoker. Through 4-H and my older sister, I've picked up on dog training techniques and can offer some insight if you like. I have worked with animals with a range of temperaments and can establish and develop trust with your pet. When I visit a client's home, I like to leave the place cleaner than how I found it. My goal is to make things as smooth as possible for you by doing extra things like getting the mail. I love texting pictures and sending notes! I also have been working for the humane society the past 3 years. I've expanded my knowledge and experience with pets! I work with cats, dog, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, hamsters, mice, and rats. I also have cared for reptiles. I am fear free certified. All photos on my profile are babes that I took care of :)

Chastity took excellent care of our Pup and our home during her stay. We would recommend her highly and look forward to having her back to take care of the Pup soon!

Chasity was wonderful! She sent us detailed updates during the stay along with pictures of our very happy pups. Her pictures and updates made me feel much better about being away. She was also able to help us out when our flight was cancelled and we had to spend another unexpected night away from home. I would highly recommend her! Our dogs seem like they had a great time and our house is even better than when we left it.

Safety is always my top priority. I am Fear Free certified so I am trained to recognize even the most subtle signs of fear, anxiety, and stress in animals. I am used to working with animals in a high stress environment at the humane society and have passion for enrichment.

Information Chasity S. would like to know about your pet

I want to know everything that you'd like me to know in order to provide the best care possible. I like to know when a dog is used to being fed and walked, their potty routine, the distance and length of walks they like, any special diets or medications needed, any favorite toys or treats, how shy they are, if they pull on leash, what commands they know, how to reward them, and how they behave around other dogs. Let me know if I should put them in a crate after a walk. I love dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and genders! I especially like big dogs and bully breeds. Their vet's information and emergency contacts are appreciated. I have a checklist that I use during my meet and greets to learn about your dog and their needs. I will take notes to make sure I have all the important information written down and I shred those documents after a stay.

A typical day

My priority is always walking your pup where they are used to. I love exploring new parts of the city and am happy to walk your pup around new places. I always aim to go to a park or what I call "green spots" with plants, grass, dirt, etc. I can give your dog the attention and admiration they deserve. I love snuggling with pets when they want to! Reading animal body language comes naturally to me and I make sure to interact in a non-threatening and welcoming manner. I love seeing dogs excited and make sure they're having fun.

I used to sit for Rover full-time but I took a long break after working for the humane society for a few years. My work has no doubt enhanced my skillset to be a better sitter than ever, however my schedule is more limited.
