I'll run, jog or hike with your dog

Pet care experience

Hi! I'm Chase and currently attending Rochester Institute of Technology. I currently own 3 dogs of my own and foster 1; a miniature dachshund puppy, a lab mix puppy that I am training for an emotional support dog, and a senior English bulldog. The foster is a pit-mix. I am capable of training or help reinforce commands if you are interested in that. I currently volunteer at Rochester Animal Services which is the city shelter of Rochester; that means I have experience with any and all kinds of dogs and personalities. I am trained for the "stress team" there so I was trained and trusted with working with our most difficult dogs, whether it being extremely scared or aggressive. Also, I am being trained for the "play-yard" which allows the dogs to interact with each other off leash. It is an extensive 1 year training that teaches us everything about dog body language, behavior, and what to do in case of an emergency. With this, I have had exposure to many different body languages and how to read them on an individual dog and not just generalize it because every dog is better. I am also trained for doing adoption events so I had training on how to help the public interact with the dogs so that they don't scare them and shut them down. I work at "Ruff Day Resort", a doggy day care and boarding facility. I am accustomed to caring for animals overnight as well as just taking them for walks and exercises with my experiences from my personal dogs as well as other people's dogs and shelter dogs.

Chase is the best dog walker you could ask for! I have known Chase since he started volunteering at Rochester Animal Services, our City's municipal animal shelter, last year. He is a responsible and dedicated volunteer, who has taken it upon himself to become trained as an intake coordinator for our volunteer run Play Yard Program at the shelter. He also had to attend extra training to become one of our Stress Team handlers, which is a group of our most experienced and dog-savvy volunteers, tasked with working with some of the most stressed dogs in the shelter. Chase has also taken it upon himself to help care for my current foster dog, who is a 9-year-old, very large, mixed-breed dog named King. Chase has faithfully picked up King from my house every Wednesday, and taken him on afternoon-long adventures since King came to my home in January. Chase and King have gone on campus tours of RIT, where Chase is an excellent student. He and King have met and visited many students and staff at the college, as well as visited local parks and trails. King loves his adventures with Chase, and is always happy and tired when they return from their excursions. I can't think of a better dog walker or pet sitter for your beloved furry family members than Chase <3

Chase Pastor is a very responsible person. I have volunteered with Chase at Verona Street Animal Society for about 9 months. He will go out of his way for the dogs that we walk. He is very capable to handle any dog.., size or temperament does not matter. Chase has been known to take one of our foster dogs with him for the day just to get them out and socialized. He takes his job very seriously...he is very capable and personable. I would not think twice about leaving my dogs with Chase. He is an all around great guy.

How is your dog with other people and dogs? It does not matter if they are reactive or not but I like to have a heads up so I know what to expect when passing them.

A typical day

I can play with the dogs with toys or take then for walk, jogs, or hike with them. If they are low energy, I can just cuddle with them and give them lots of love.
