WHY I WANT TO BE A SITTER: Living in NYC can sometimes make it hard to hold onto your happiness. If you can't find something to make you smile and keep you sane, the city could very easily turn you into a Scrooge. And I don't want that!!!! No, thank you! Dogs make me happy. And if you're telling me that I can play with pooches AND make money doing it?! Sign. Me. Up! MY DOG CARE HISTORY: I've always had pets growing up. And when I didn't, I was surrounded by people who did. Throughout my life I've cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages and personalities: a high-energy, extremely curious 4-month old german shepherd/husky mix; a chillaxed 2-year old scottish terrier; a 5 year old Weimaraner hike-master/explorer; a floppy, excitable, very smart australian shepherd pup; a very intelligent, very possessive, very teen-angsty part-wolf mixed-breed; a big, old, long-haired mastiff whom the nuns across the street nicknamed "Cujo" because they thought he was a big mean monster, but it turns out he was actually a big fluffy sweetheart...to me at least. Not to mention all the pups who came to this years NYC Pet Expo. (I was the door greeter: best volunteer job I've ever had). WHY DON'T I OWN A DOG: I have all the love, energy and passion to be a great dog owner, but since moving to NYC I just don't have the financial stability nor the space to have one of my very own (yet). WHAT KIND OF SITTER I'LL BE: I'm a dancer, so I'm very physically active. If your dog likes to run around and play and explore, then I'll be able to keep up. If your dog likes to go slow and take naps in the shade, I'm happy to do that too. I'm not squeamish when it comes to messes. I work with kids in grades k-5, so, I've got a lot of patience. I also have a positive attitude, and can easily adapt to the specific needs of your dog.
