Glo never met a dog she didn't like
Pet care experience
Welcome to Glo´s House. Glo is deceased and no longer with us, but she always had many friends around and that often stayed for periods of time. Glo's Friends is the Dog House By the Side of The Road that exists to be a Best Friend to Man at all times. I have personally been with dogs all my life and when not with a dog by my side, I feel a hole in my heart. I have had friends tell me to adopt a new dog since my Shepherd Glo died, but I thought it could prove very interesting to care for other people´s precious barking possessions instead, and thereby keep in close touch with all of Glo´s friends! I am a laid back dog handler. We establish bonds very quickly - they know my limits and I know theirs intuitively. There is no dog I will not take on as a my new best friend. I am single, and a researcher at Stanford. I live and work inside the Stanford “park”. Dogs on leashes are welcome here. We don't have to keep normal hours! Sometimes we explore at 3 a.m. in the morning if the need or urge arises! Glo was my beloved German Shepherd of 10 years. We were inseparable. She was exceedingly well behaved – unless there was guard duty involved. I can write about four times she saved my life. I am certain your dog is no different of a precious possession. I am told by owners whose dogs I walk that “my dog likes you very much.” Such compliments! These furry beings have so much to give and teach us all — how could we not reciprocate their great personalities! I feel deprived when not with a dog by my side or under my feet . I treat all dogs as if my own -- and just to let you know, the secret is: they are taking care of me. You likely know this too if you are reading this profile! I do not have a big plush house. I do benefit from an exceedingly well cared for walking grounds of which I take full advantage when walking and caring for the dogs. All dogs have all earned my respect before they greet me. I walked Glo three to five miles a day all over the Stanford campus. Well, actually, she made certain I walked with her. We were explorers of the Stanford Universe. Your dog and I will do the same, small, medium, large. They will always be at my side. I believe in "Dog Freedom" and the dogs know that about me. I respect their every need and curiosity. They read the books of messages left for them all over the campus and often under my desk. I am an experienced dog handler, and have been through several German Shepherd classes for police dog training and handling of Shepherds trained for speciality needs such as autism. We will always play, have fun, rest, work as a team — your dog and I. I have a tendency to just sit and talk for long whiles with the dogs I am entrusted with. They teach me always more than I tell them. I lead a very atypical life, am a workaholic. Caring for and walking dogs is my break activity from doing research related to cleaning up copper mines worldwide. I hope to hear from you and your best friend anytime you need a steady stand-in by his or her side. I am never perfect, but I try to be with the dogs! Love covers all and you can rest assured that your dog(s) will be loved at all times.

Charlotte took great care of our pups at the last minute. She was responsive and responsible. We will definitely ask her to care for our sweet boys again!
Our pet Inge had a wonderful time over the Thanksgiving holiday with Charlotte! It's clear she was in good hands with a true dog lover and kindred spirit. We got frequent updates with pictures of some wonderful hikes. Highly recommended.
