Experienced & responsible dog loving family.

Pet care experience

I grew up with dogs, mainly German Shepherds, and am therefore very comfortable and confident with larger breeds. I have previously owned a little Staffie and a Labrador, both were very loved members of the family. We now have just one dog, a 6 year old Golden Retriever, who has been the perfect family dog for us and our 9 year old son. I have recently renewed my dog first aid and cpr training & we have attended many puppy/dog courses over the years. As a family we love nothing more than long walks and adventures with our Goldie. Lola (our Golden Retriever) is very good with all people, children and animals and although she enjoys any time she gets to spend with other dogs her number one focus is their owner, and any strokes, treats or fuss she can get! We regularly dog sit for our family and friend’s dogs and so we are all use to the brilliant company of all shapes and sizes, from Daschunds and French Bulldogs to German Shepherds and Rottweilers. We always like to meet you and your dog before caring for them to ensure a great fit. We are ready to welcome your dog to their home away from home and make sure they have a wonderful time.

Charlotte was great. Good communication, very friendly and obviously very good with Anouska. She seemed so relaxed when I picked her up and will definitely be staying with Charlotte again when we visit family.

Charlotte really looked after Teddy. Plenty of walks, daily catch up with photos and Teddy was so comfortable he didn’t want to leave! Would highly recommend Charlotte.

We have a secure garden where your dog/s and our Golden Retriever are free to roam. Our Goldie’s bed is in our living room where we spend most of our time and her food and water are in the kitchen where the door is always open for them to access. We are happy to cater to your dog’s usual routine, give any medication or other needs. Our Goldie is very adaptable, calm and loves the company of other dogs.

If your dog has any particular needs or requirements e.g medication or habits just let me know before hand so that we can get our routine ready to accommodate them.

A typical day

Typically I’ll take the dogs for a walk after breakfast, there are plenty of nearby parks, trails, and woodland to explore. We’ll come back home for a rest & head out again in the afternoon, for a new adventure. We enjoy playing ball in the garden and we go for a spin around the block before bedtime. At least once/twice a week we like to take Lola in the car for an adventure to a country park that’s a bit different to their usual walks from home, however if your dog is anti car rides we can give that a miss to avoid any unnecessary stress for them. We are happy to adapt the length of walks and amount of walks we do in order to accommodate your dog (some may need extra or for some it may be too much). We often visit family, some are in walking distance others are a short car ride away, and if it’s suits your dog I know they will all adore a visit from a new furry friend.

Availability

I work part time from our home and so ours and your dog will always have my company. We like to take our Golden Retriever out 2/3 times a day for nice walks & will happily wander out for extra toilet breaks in between. We have an enclosed garden where your dog can have free roam for some extra outside time.
