Pet care experience
I have grown up with and worked with all sorts of animals, averaging at about 20 years experience. I’ve worked at vet clinics, totalling about 6 years. I have house and pet watched as a teenager for many years. I also managed a dog daycare/kennel for about 1 year, being the sole care provider, for the dogs that attended, for most of that time. I have lots of experience administering medications, including insulin. I have crate trained, potty trained, on and off leash trained my two dogs successfully and I currently work closely with a local relationship coach to further my understanding of the K9-Human connection and communication. I will be starting Ecollar training with my dogs in the near future as well! I am comfortable with all ages and all breeds!
Reviews
I would definitely recommend Charlotte! Her home offers lots of space for the dogs to play. Charlotte was very responsive, offered lots of details and photos during the stay. Charlotte ensured that the dogs had lots of time outside. My dogs were tired after a day at Charlotte’s!
Charlotte was absolutely fantastic. Charlotte meet with us and went over all concerns and from the get go Winston melted into her. I 100% recommend Charlotte for small and large dogs.
My Lab Laker hit the jackpot with Charlotte. She was very friendly and comfortable handling my dog. Her property is beautiful, lots of room for dogs to get ample exercise and playtime. She sent me photos and videos during his stay to keep me in the loop. Very responsive to messages. Would highly recommend Charlotte and would book her services again when needed!

PLEASE READ My first priority is always the dog’s well being and safety. For that reason, I strictly crate train in a separate, heated (and air conditioned) building just steps away from my house. I really do find that the dogs thrive on the structure crate training provides. It also helps with separation anxiety, as it helps build their confidence and independence, and they really come to know that it is a safe space for them to rest and be calm. I do not have a fenced area (yet!) but provide at least 4 long walks/ day, about 1-2 hours each. Each walk is structured from the time they leave their crate to the time they return. Providing on leash training, and progressing to off leash as I see fit. I use my own bio thane longlines for walking, so they can be by my side when I ask and “free” when I allow. We have 100 acres here to roam as we please, with open fields, trails through the forest, streams to get a drink, and a cabin in the woods! Beef liver and sweet potato treats are always provided, along with a love for each pup as if they’re my own! Whether you need day care, boarding, daily walks or house visits, I always strive to offer the absolute best care possible! CANCELLATION POLICY for boarding is 3 days prior to start of booking. For daycare, 1 day prior to day of care. Home visits and walking is same day.

PLEASE READ Please notify me, prior to or at time of booking, of any special needs (ex: medication), health issues (ex: any physical ailments, allergies), behaviour issues (ex: food/toy guarding), emergency contact, Vet contact, ect.. I’d be happy to arrange meet & greets prior to your pup(s) stay with us!
A typical day
Daily walks of 1-2 hours, at least 4 times/day. The majority of the walks are on my property, but there are SO many great trails nearby, we also go for local hikes on the mountain! Incorporated in the walks is lots of play time, whether that be with my dogs or solo with a chuck it ball! And leash training the whole way to add some mental stimulation as well.

Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I have always had my own, or taken care of others pets. It has always been and always will be a passion of mine. Animals bring so much clarity to life, with how simply, yet calculated they operate - only living in each moment of awareness. They’ve taught me so much throughout my life and I am forever grateful. The farm I live at now, is the same farm I grew up on! We raised cattle, chickens, ducks, geese, goats and much more. There was always a dog present on the farm here, and now I have my two girls that live their best lives here every day! I am currently home all day, every day! And have decided to make this my full time gig! I truly love providing the best care for your pup(s), they’ll never go without loving attention, But I do also understand that a dog is a dog (apex predators), and some prefer their space to adjust to a new environment and may need some guidance to help them feel as comfortable as they can! Whether they jump right into our routine here or they need some help adjusting, I am here to guide them every step of the way!
