Pet care experience
I have lots of experience taking care of pets (my own as well as others). I have been housesitting for the past seven years which involves me going to stay in my clients homes and taking care of their pets whilst they are away. I have taken care of cats, dogs and a house rabbit! I am very confident with all types of cats and dogs and have a lot of experience with both so you can rest assured that your pet would be in safe hands. I absolutely love animals; I am vegan for this reason so you can also rest assured that I would treat your pet as my own and take great care of them and provide them with lots of love whilst you are away. I always send a photo of their pet(s) each day to my clients whilst housesitting so that they have peace of mind that everything is okay. I am an extremely clean and respectful person and I have had many clients say that their house was cleaner when they returned than they left it! I have always had pets growing up. My friends used to call me Dr. Dolittle as I had every kind of pet you could think of throughout childhood and my teenage years! Over the years I had cats, dogs, fish, birds, African snails, ferrets, guinea pigs, rabbits, mice, hamsters, a bearded dragon (lizard), and even pigmy goats! You could say my childhood home was extremely pet friendly haha! I always enjoyed spending time with animals and taking care of them which has always stuck with me in adulthood.

Charlotte is an absolute dream of a Dogsitter and our Daphnes adores her! We felt completely at ease going away for the weekend to get married and knew Daphne was in the safest of hands. Charlotte sent us lots of pictures of their adventures throughout the weekend and left our house absolutely SPOTLESS! Couldn’t have been happier with our experience and will definitely be using Charlotte again in the future!
Charlotte was excellent at keeping me updated and Max looked like he had an amazing time. Would definitely recommend Charlotte!

I live in a first floor flat in Westcliff-on-Sea which has a small garden. I am able to take dogs out for two long walks per day and more often for shorter toilet breaks during the day. When we are back at the flat I can create a nice cosy sleeping area for them to relax and chill in. They can have free run of the flat and I also am happy for them to sleep in my bed if this is something they are used to doing at home. I can provide a safe and loving environment for your pet. Unfortunately, due to having close neighbours and my sister who lives with me and works from home on the telephone all day, I am not able to board any dogs that have a habit of barking a lot so I would have to come to your home to look after them if they do tend to be quite barky pups!

I would need to know if your dog has any special needs and/or requires any medication to be administered throughout the day. I would need to be made aware of any allergies your dog may have. I would also need to be made aware of any special behaviours that your dog may have so that I can take care of them in the best possible way. I also please ask that all pets are up-to-date with their flea treatment to avoid a flea infestation in my flat. :)
A typical day
I will be able to take your dog(s) on two long walks per day as well as shorter toilet breaks. I have a large dog friendly park close by that we can go to where they can socialise with other dogs if they are good with other dogs otherwise I will make sure to keep them at a distance from other dogs on our walks. I have experience with dogs who are good with other dogs as well as dogs that are not good with other dogs. I also have the beach nearby that we can go and walk alongside which is really nice! I have some special toys at home (snuffle mat, lickimat and a kong toy) to keep them mentally stimulated throughout the day. We will also have playtime at home to ensure your dog is kept physically and mentally stimulated during their stay.

Availability
I work full time from home for an Australian company in the finance team so I am able to do the housesitting alongside this. As long as I have wifi I can work from anywhere! :) Please note that I do not currently drive so I have to get public transport for now when housesitting.
