I have looked after my own dogs and other family's dogs since I was 10. I grew up taking care of my first two family dogs, Jessie (labrador) and Deema (staffy). Deema had bad arthritis in the last stages of life. They were both older dogs, so when the time came I helped both of them with toilet duties, regularly carrying Deema as it became difficult for her to walk. Currently, I have three dogs back in Australia. Miley (Maltese Shih Tzu), Frankie (long-haired chihuahua) and Lola (miniature pomeranian). We got them from puppies, they are all currently 3-4 years old. I helped train them (toilet training, obedience). I always walked them daily, took them to the dog beaches at home, and fed them (I often cooked them meat and vegetable meals instead of giving them biscuits). I have cared for extended family pets also. I have cared for both a cat and dog at the same time, multiple times. my duties were to feed and give water to the animals, walk the dog regularly, play with the cat, and keep them happy! Needless to say, I am that person who has to stop and talk to every dog that walks past! I am a part-time university student who also works in social media for an Australian beauty company. I work from home 100% of the time. I don't have set hours so am extremely flexible. The only time I wouldn't be available is when I am away, otherwise, pet care fits into my schedule easily. I have a set area for pets with dog bowls for food and water, their own bed and blankets and toilet mats. The animals are allowed on the furniture and can roam freely throughout the apartment. I live in close proximity to 4 large parks, perfect for daily walks and activities.
