A home from home for pampered pups 🐾

Pet care experience

Hi, I’m Charlotte! I’m 27 and an all round dog-lover who’s owned dogs for 12 years. I work from home full-time, Monday to Friday, so I am always home with your dog(s) for feeding, toilet breaks and playing around the clock! I love walking & training dogs - I’ve attended puppy training schemes, the Kennel Club’s Good Citizen dog obedience scheme, agility courses and fly ball/lure coursing classes with my own dogs over the years. I love going to dog-friendly events, shows, cafes, shops and meet ups, too. I currently own two lovely whippets, Dash & Barley (mother and son! 💕), who are both totally spoiled and doted on. We spend most of our time walking (/zooming!), playing and going on dog-friendly adventures. Barley is 4 years old and Dash is 2 years - both are super dog-friendly and happy to share their space. Dash especially loves to play and is still a big puppy. We have joined Rover as we have room in our home and schedule for another small to medium dog (or any size sighthound) to join our daily cuddles/adventures and get spoiled, too. We have a secure fenced back garden for toilet breaks which is also a decent size for playing (can be seen in several photos on my profile). Your dog would be welcome on our comfy sofas for napping, too. My dogs are typical whippets who are happy to snooze all day on the sofa after a good run and play, and I go the extra mile to make sure they’re super cosy throughout the day. Your dog would be encouraged to join and be treated as part of the family. I also have experience with senior dogs who are unable to jump onto sofas/climb stairs and can accommodate with comfy, accessible dog beds if needed.

My spaniels love spending time with Charlotte and her whippets, and I never worry about them when they are with her. One of my girls is wary of people but she absolutely loves Charlotte and gets so excited when she sees her. Charlotte goes out of her way to make sure that my dogs are happy and content and I trust her 100% with them.

Charlotte has looked after my dog Bonnie for a week. She sent lots of updates and pictures of Bonnie having a great time, running around with her dog Dash, lying in the sunshine with Dash and playing around. I could tell Bonnie was more than happy to stay here and I didn’t worry about her at all while I was away on holiday as she was having the best time!

Sophie had a great time with Charlotte, and her 2 lovely dogs. Charlotte was great with communication and I fully recommend her if you need someone to keep your dog company.

Information Charlotte H. would like to know about your pet

As I’ll be the sole dog-walker, I can not always accommodate larger dogs (30kg+). However, we may be able to make exceptions for sensible larger dogs who are good at walking on lead. My preference is for small to medium dogs - or any size sighthounds. As I’m just starting out on Rover, I would also prefer to build more experience before taking any dogs with health problems, so I can ensure the best care. Please let me know your dogs general personality, routine, experience with other dogs, etc when booking.

A typical day

I usually take my dogs for a good walk at lunch time through the week during winter. In spring/summer, we also enjoy morning and/or evening walks. Weekends are of course for all-day doggy adventures and playing! :) I can amend our walking schedule and/or distance to account for puppies or senior dogs (whippets are adaptable & would appreciate the rest, too!) There will be several opportunities for dogs to play and sniff in the garden between walks/naps.
