Pet care experience
I have grown up in a ‘2 dog family’ for as long as I can remember, and just before I left for university we adopted a gorgeous girl who had been destined for a kill shelter previously. It was so rewarding watching her confidence flourish and her affection towards us shine through by earning her trust and working with her behaviour. Moving to Sydney has left a large dog shaped void in my life. Due to work and living arrangements it would be unfair of me to get a dog of my own but I would love to fill this gap by spending my weekends walking your four pawed friends. My experience with animals includes housesitting locally where I have looked after up to four dogs along with chickens, horses, small animals and livestock. I have cared for two old Labrador sisters, who required lots of medical care towards the end of their lives, including administering oral medication, eardrops and eye drops. I have attended puppy training, improver training and rescue dog training. With our (previously mentioned) rescue, I have taken her to agility lessons, competitions and a ‘dog day event’, as well as working with a behaviorist for her reactivity towards noise.

I value trust and transparency and would like to know any quirks or behaviours that you would like me to specifically work with. Having worked with my parents reactive dog in the past, I know how important it is to be prepared and consistent with training. As above, I value more information over less on what they like to do and your expectations for a sitter so we can work together to give your dog the best days when away from you.
A typical day
I would look to take your pups on coastal walks during cooler days and to play with them in the shady garden during the summer months. I am able to work with your pets routine so as to ensure they get the best out of their time with me.
