Eager to spoil your pets rotten!

Pet care experience

Howdy! Lifelong animal lover here, and parent to two cats and two leopard geckos. Currently offering walks, drop-in visits, and housesitting. Between my personal pet ownership, foster experience, and assorted petsitting jobs, I have spent almost a decade caring for and working with animals in some capacity. Experience includes four years petsitting, and two years volunteer work with Rocky Mountain Reptile Rescue and Zany Zoo Exotics & Educational Outreach. I have owned/housed cats, fish (freshwater), rodents (rats & mice), and a variety of snakes & lizards, but I'm comfortable around dogs and most other critters. Having worked with animals who were adopted without proper research and consideration by their owners, then surrendered to my organizations by shelters that couldn't meet their needs, I'm very passionate about responsible pet ownership, which is why I decided to advertise my services through Rover. Due to my cats and current schedule/living situation, I'm unable to own a dog of my own, so I jump on any opportunity to hang out with other people's pups! I'm trying to spend as much time around dogs as possible, so that when I'm ready to adopt a canine child, I'll be better prepared and have a clearer understanding of what I'm looking for in a companion. <3 If you pick me as your lucky dog-walker, you'd be helping immensely with that decision, and your furbaby would get spoiled in the process. I especially enjoy walking dogs who can handle long rambling strolls and hikes, so if you need someone to help take care of all that extra energy, I'd be happy to help! :) When it comes to my sitting services, I unfortunately have to be much more selective. I cannot host dogs because of my cats, and for the same reason will need to balance their care with the care of your dogs (meaning I will not be at your house 24/7, but will be able to provide at least a morning & evening walk, food & bathroom needs, and my presence overnight while you are gone). I'm not sure how many exotics owners use Rover, but I am more than willing to care for your reptiles etc as well! This is species dependent, but if you're interested, I'd love to talk details.

Charlie was a wonderful dog sitter, giving our husky lots of love, long walks, and quality care. When we were out of town, Charlie slept at our house to keep our dog company, and we were grateful that they were also such a responsible house sitter. Charlie is responsible and reliable, as well as a great communicator. We highly recommend Charlie!

Charlie loves dogs, and not just on a surface level. Charlie truly cares about the unique needs of each dog of every size. Charlie is also a kind, respectful, thoughtful individual who will be the ideal walking companion for your furry friend!

Charlie babysits my dog, and she loves him. He gives her quality attention, and when he comes over, she is immediately relaxed and playful. I trust Charlie in my home and do not worry when I know he is here taking care of my pet and my residence. He takes a genuine interest in animals of all kinds and is a very sincere person. If you are on the fence, I can tell you that you will pleased however long or short his interactions with your pet are.

Information Charlie Q. would like to know about your pet

How are your dog's leash manners? How do they behave around humans and other dogs? Do they have any special care requirements (medical, behavioural, social, etc) that may come up while they're in my care? Do you have a preferred vet in case of emergency? Can your dog be let off-leash safely? Do they have a favorite walking route or play style I can indulge?

A typical day

I live minutes from the Poudre Trail system, my favorite place for walks, and may also coordinate with dog-owning friends for play/park dates and hikes through the Reservoir Ridge trail systems outside west Fort Collins. I'm also happy to make use of any of your pup's toys and yard space.
