Enthusiastic and Reliable Petsitter

Pet care experience

I started my own dog sitting business at the age of 14 by putting flyers in neighbors mailboxes and for several summers I repeatedly watched for around 15 different families. Since starting college I haven’t watched dogs that much, but have plenty of experience with all kinds of dog breeds and hope to start taking care of furry friends again soon!

Charlie was great with Shiloh and Emma! She walked Shiloh and doted on Emma! Sent pics too! We are so pleased to have found Charlie to come sit with our babies!

Charlie walks my lab Sterling 3 times a week currently. Recently we were going out of town and needed her to stay late multiple hours and return in the morning for multiple hours before we got back. She is very timely and very respectful of our home. I can see how much Sterling enjoys his time. Highly recommend Charlie for any type of service!

Charlie is AWESOME! My pup loves her and her baby! Charlie asked great questions, and she kept me updated on the walks she takes with Tonk. She is very reliable and trustworthy!

I currently have my own 1 year old Australian Shepherd puppy, so I am well-adjusted to a house full of energy. I take her for walks every day when I have time and although we live in an apartment, I make sure she has plenty of activity throughout the day. My prior dog sitting experience usually included letting the pet out morning, lunch, evening, and sometimes bedtime depending on what the family asked of me. Many of the dogs I also took for walks at no extra charge and stuck around for a while to play and get their energy out. I also have experience with farm animals such as horses and chickens and am willing to learn how to take care of new animals, so don't hesitate to ask if you have a non-cat/dog pet in need of a sitter!

Information Charlie D. would like to know about your pet

I like to know what your dog is comfortable with, especially if I am walking them. I don't want to be surprised if they lunge at other dogs or cyclists. I also like to bring my Australian Shepherd with me on visits, but if your pupper is not keen on strange dogs in their house let me know! :)

A typical day

I usually like to walk the dogs I watch around their local neighborhood, but if you have a park nearby I am more than happy to go there. For a 30 minute walk I can usually go about 1 mile. (depending on the dog's energy!) Of course I check for water and food, if necessary. If your dog prefers fetch or tug as exercise, like my puppy, let me know and I will make sure they get their wiggles out during my visit.

This winter I started dog sitting full time. I am also a student at ETSU, but I’m taking classes online. I do dedicate one day a week to my studies, so, if you were looking for a sitter every day, we will have to work something out. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and ages. I have several weekly clients that I watch on varying days, so on weekdays, I am in Johnson City walking dogs from around 10 AM to 5 PM. If you are interested in a one time use of my services, I ask that we meet at least a week in advance before you’ll be needing me, so that I can fit you in and make sure your dog gets the optimum care they need. If you’re wanting weekly visits, please mention that in your message, and I have a couple slots throughout the day still open.
