My name is Charlie, I'm a graduate student who is interested in walking dogs, again. I've walked dogs as a side gig for a couple years now, but I've been around dogs my entire life. My experience is with dogs of all sizes and levels of neediness. I grew up with a Standard Poodle who I helped care for through old age. I know all the tricks to get dogs to take their medication and how to get them up and moving. I currently care for a young Pitbull mix, he's high energy and requires significant behavioral training. I appreciate a dog's individual quirks, but ultimately, I believe that a calm and firm presence is the most effective way to care for a new dog. I'm comfortable with all dogs, but if you have a large breed, I can probably care for your dog better than others. I'm an active person who enjoys going on long walks. I'm more than happy to go the extra mile (literally) if need be. The best part about me is that my mornings and afternoon are available. I can walk your dog anytime before 6pm! Lastly, I prefer not to use shock collars. I don't find them to be helpful in behavior training.

We have hired Charlie 3 times for dogsitting and he has done an excellent job each time. The last time was 10 days and Benjy was really well taken care of. Benjy got sick during his stay and Charlie knew exactly what to do to make sure he was okay. Our home was exactly the same as how we left it when we returned from our trip. We will hopefully hire Charlie again for our future dogsitting needs!
Charlie is a profoundly responsible and caring person. He is a natural dog-handler, and sowed these skills by fostering multiple in-need pitbulls (while living in New Orleans, where this breed is particularly common and often abandoned) . I would know because one of them is now my dog! When I adopted Zuzu, Charlie had spent a few months caring for her when she was a scared and completely untrained former stray. He worked wonders on her. She is now an obedient, loving dog with zero aggressive tendencies, due to his providing her with routine, structure, love, and lots of socializing time in the dog park. I would absolutely trust Charlie with my best friend, my pup, and know he will do the same for others who need to entrust their animal with a new person!
I am pleased to write this testimonial for Charles - one of the most dependable, responsible, kind, and proactive people in the world. He is smart and capable. And most importantly, he is great with dogs! He speaks with such affection about the fur babies that have been in his own life in his past. He has taken care of my much beloved dog many, many times. It feels so good for me to have confidence when I am away that my dogs will be walked, fed, played with, and loved. One thing that Charles did that I loved was send me a text and photo everyday! charlie is kind timely and reliable. he has a way with pets like he really just enjoys their company and they certainly enjoy his. he knows very well how to remain in charge while letting puppies have fun and engage with the world. they will be in good hands with ol chuck
