Sorry this review is so long, but I have to say, I could not have dreamed up two better people to take care of Loup while I was visiting family over Christmas this year! I live in Oregon, but was traveling to Georgia over the holidays, and I found out shortly before the trip that Loup had a medical issue with his eye. I wanted him to be close to me over my 10-day trip, just to make sure I was there if anything happened (instead of with a sitter all the way across the country)... but as a senior dog in a cone of shame who needed 2 different eye drops 4 times a day, I was worried he (and I) wouldn't have any fun during the busy holiday trip we had planned. Enter Charles and his wife-- an amazing duo who happened to be available at short notice over Christmas and New Year's! They have experience with senior dogs, and the challenge of Loup's medication needs-- I got daily reports on Loup's well-being, and I got pictures of him lounging as his lazy, natural self. He seemed to be really content where he was. Loup also eats food that is slightly more complicated than usual, but Charles reassured me-- he prepares all his dog's own healthy food, so he knew special diets all too well. Speaking of his dog, Ruger is the sweetest dog, and was so nice to Loup, even though Loup was an old grouch, and refused his invitations to play. Loup got to wander in the fenced yard, and got taken on walks every day. When we came to get him, he was well-fed, well-hydrated, had all his meds, and just generally had a pleasant disposition! What a wonderful experience! I definitely recommend Charles and his wife-- they are truly caring people who went WAY past my expectations, and my family and I thank them so much for saving our Christmas holiday!
