Although I would have to say my love for animals (all kinds) has been there as long as I can remember, the night our first rescue found me was the beginning of it all. As I worked a tollbooth on grave shift with not a car or person in sight, I noticed a dog walking up the bridge towards me. He obviously had not been cared for in a while and had no identification. After comforting him through the end of my shift, I immediately took him to the vet to check things out. After determining no one had reported him missing, we took him in, nursed him back to health and happily adopted Buddy into our family. Since that time, our family has rescued, adopted or otherwise acquired ;-) many more family members. Currently, my wife and I live with two rescue dogs that were left in the woods near our home and one cat that found us in the middle of the night when she wandered into the neighborhood. My dream is to one day have a rescue for senior dogs that have been displaced and give them a safe and loving home to live out their lives. Since I am still of ‘working age’ and not independently wealthy enough to fulfill my dream just yet I follow my passion by helping others through my pet sitting services. I like walking, talking and enjoying the company of all animals. Our home is the resident vacation getaway for all our families’ dogs and I’m affectionately known as the pied piper of pets in our neighborhood!
