Hello! I am an experienced dog owner with a love for dog of all sizes and personalities. I’m available for weekday and weekend walks and visits. I’ve done many hours of professional training with my own dog, so I'm ready to use the skills I’ve learned for good with other dogs! I’m not intimidated by a dog who pulls or is reactive since it's a chance to teach them better skills. I have a background in customer service, and I work from home, so I will be responsive to your needs as well as put a high priority on keeping your dog happy, healthy, and safe. I understand the complex diversity of dogs’ personalities and needs, and I'm excited to meet you and your dog :)

Charissa was amazing! We have never had our dogs stay with anyone but family while we travel, and it was as though Charissa was family, but better! She gave me text updates three times a day, which was more than I anticipated, but lovely to know. She took it on herself to give Percy multiple walks each day, even though we have a fenced in yard; she even took her to the forest preserve. The played stick and ball, followed by cuddle time. I was surprised Percy was happy to see us when we got back!!! Thank you so much Charissa, we will call you the next time we head out of town!!

I'm best with large, social dogs but I don't mind a shy dog either. I'd like to know whether your dog pulls on the leash, and whether they're friendly with other dogs both on-leash and off (although neither of these are deal breakers).
A typical day
Depending on what your dog likes, we'll go to dog parks, play fetch, learn new tricks with treats, go for a run (especially on the 606 or along the lake!), and snuggle!
