Pet care experience
I have taken care of dogs ever since I was 14 and got my first puppy. My mom and I started a dog breeding business to help pay for my dance lessons and I have learned what it takes to be a responsible care giver. Since then I have dog and cat sat often and volunteered to take care of my friends’ dogs. I can’t have a dog of my own currently with graduating school and transitioning into a job, so any time I get to spend with other pets is a treat!

Charis is a fantastic pet sitter. She did an overnight at our house with our two dogs and two cats and she exceeded expectations. Great communications and the animals loved her. We will be using her again! Highly recommend.
We are so happy we found Charis. She was incredibly lovely to work with. She came over a few days before we were heading out of town to meet us and the dogs which was really helpful so we could meet and be on the same page. She’s so thoughtful and caring and was very communicative all weekend. She took care of our two pups so well; making them comfortable while we were away felt like her top concern. She sent updates over the weekend which was really helpful and when our one dog, who licks a bit compulsively has having a lick-fest, she flagged it right away, to see if there was anything she could do to help ease him. Her love, kindness and care was really felt. We will use Charis again in a heartbeat!
Charis did great with our dogs for the two days that she watched them. She was easy to work with and was nice enough to come by ahead of time to meet the dogs a week before we left for our trip. We left the harness on one of our dogs because he is not always the easiest to work with when it comes to new people, and she was able to take it off and have him lying by her peacefully within the first day. We told her she didn’t have to stay with them as long as they were taken out and fed on schedule, but she was still kind enough to stay and hang out with the dogs on visits and even stayed the second night with them. She cleaned up their toys after they would pull them out and left the apartment clean when leaving. She also sent pictures and updates at reasonable intervals while we were gone. We could not have asked for a better sitter.

I have a large two bedroom apartment with hardwood floors. I don’t have other pets that might have proved difficult to get along with. Your dog will have my sole attention! I’m also a 2 minute walk from Buchanan park which will allow me to walk them and play with them there all the time if that is wanted!

A typical day
I am located right near buchanan park and will be able to take the pets on all types of runs or walks! I also love to play games with them like fetch or tug a war. My neighborhood is very dog friendly and I’m sure they’ll make lots of new friends on their walks!

Availability
I just graduated physician assistant school and gave accepted a job across the country! I don’t move until end of July, which gives me ample time for your pets! That means having a more flexible schedule, I’m free all times of the day during the week and most weekends!
