Being timid around people, my attention was naturally drawn to animals when I was very young. I've grown up around dogs my entire life and I've always loved the purity of their souls. I ended up dedicating a large part of my lifestyle to the importance of animal rights and became vegetarian and furthered my advocacy by volunteering at several different shelters in my hometown. Although dogs are my favorite, I do believe that all animals deserve to live a full life. My skills include all of the basics, such as grooming, feeding, and walking. I've worked with all types of dogs from violent strays in need of love, to new born puppies without a mother in need of consistent care such as bottle feeding and comfortable resting. I'm a very energetic person. I enjoy spending a good amount of my time outside, so walking dogs when they're in need to go is never an issue. I've also become immune to gagging when picking up after them once they do their business. I think that can be considered a skill. Haha! Most of my adult life, I've worked in retail, but I'm not as comfortable around people than I am with animals. Although, I have built good relationships with pet owners that I've helped with adding new additons to their families. I'm CPR trained, and experienced in oral medication and injections. I currently do not have a dog of my own anymore, after I moved from my home in Upstate New York, I was unable to bring my two shih tzu poodles along with me, due to my hectic work schedule. So, I have been longing for the company of dogs - even if it's temporary. I was able to leave my retail job and work for home. But I do have lots of extra time that I'd like to fill with dog sitting. I'm open to care for all different sizes and breeds. I'd love to welcome a part of your family into my home.
