Pet care experience
I've had many pets and farm animals in my life since childhood. My dad raised Beagles and loved training them the basics. I also trained an ex sulky racehorse to canter, gallop and jump again at the age of 12. I've loved animals my entire life and I've also loved teaching them obedience, tricks etc. Each animal has a unique and fun personality just like children and I love watching them and enjoy their company more than most people. I first became interested in professional dog training when I rescued a pup from Mohawk Hudson Humane Society 10 years ago. The timing just wasn't right for me to pursue that career change but I've taken courses online and I've decided now is the time! I'll be volunteering at Mohawk Husdon this fall as part of my training and I am looking to help people with their fur babies while they have to work etc while I continue to pursue my degree/certificates and I'm also working to convert my old goat run and chicken sheds into a doggy daycare facility. I'm hoping to open that In the spring of 2022. Your pet will recieve reliable and loving care from me while you are away at work, school etc.

Chantelle has been cleaning my house for approximately two years now. My 3 pups love it on the day she comes. They wait by the door to greet her. My one actually follows her around from room to room. I have been working from home most of the time with Covid but if I am not home on the day she comes, she takes them out in the yard and plays with them. Chantelle is kind and caring. I totally trust her with my (fur) babies :-)

I believe in positive reinforcement training and working with the unique animal personality in front of me. My dogs are well loved and cared for and I'm more than willing for you to meet them and verify that for yourself. We also have cats who are equally spoiled. I'd love to help your pet feel comfortable and well cared for while you're away. I'm also looking forward to when I can offer doggy daycare next year as part of my services. Dog walking and play/exercise is an important part of their daily routine and this is also a service I can offer.
Information Chantelle J. would like to know about your pet
I need to know if your dog has any special physical requirements (like my Molly has arthritis so I watch for her back leg to wobble a little, if it does she needs a rest) or if they have any dietary restrictions or needs. I also need to know if they are reactive to other dogs, people, particular people (ie men, people with hats...) and also if they are timid about anything.
A typical day
I love to incorporate games into my dog walking and exercise program. Dogs should be mentally AND physically stimulated as well as having quiet time activities when you're away. We will walk around your neighborhood where appropriate or if possible go to a local walking path in a park, play fetch and tug too!

Availability
I currently clean houses part time and I have a varied schedule that allows me to be flexible in when I can help you with your pets. My motto is 'I can fit that in' !! IMPORTANT NOTE: The app only let's me put in limited options for time frames, please text me for times available. I'm sure we can work something out that will help your pets while you're away. The ONLY day that I have zero availability is Tuesdays as I work all day so my evenings are for my own pup!
