I absolutely love dogs! I have volunteered at shelters and worked in a doggie daycare caring for up to 180 dogs at any given time. I'm certified in Dog CPR and have experience administering medications. I am extremely thorough when it comes to documenting potty breaks and eating habits, so any changes in your pup's routine will be noted. I have dealt with multiple dogs that were "problem children" while at daycare and have noticed definite improvement in their behavior after just a couple of weeks. I think that a large part of dog ownership is being conscious of the interactions between an alpha (you) and your pup. I can help with asserting your dominance in a productive way to grow your relationship with your fur baby.

Chantelle has been punctual, kind and energetic since day one. She has cared for my chocolate lab (Marcus) for about 2 years, and though he is a very rambunctious dog Chantelle has been patient and caring for him. She is very communicative with us should anything arise and reassures us that he is doing well to ease our own minds. Chantelle worked with my dog Tabitha while I was living up in Massachusetts. She is a big dog and can be somewhat intimidating, but Chantelle was willing and able to work with her and gain her trust. I felt very comfortable leaving my baby with Chantelle .
My animals, (two toe dragons - I mean - cats, and a horribly stubborn moose in a dog costume), are my family! I love my babies more than people most of the time, and what I truly appreciate about Chantelle, is not just her own love of animals, but how much she obviously loves my animals as much as I do. She was both doting and patient with my very ornery puppy and still completely thoughtful and affectionate with my cats. Chantelle is by far my first choice when I need a dog walker or animal sitter. Chantelle is an incredibly caring and capable caretaker for your fur babies. My friends and I have had her take care of our dogs while we were out of town and she was amazing! Some good things to know before babysitting would be if they are dog/human aggressive. Some dogs are naturally suspicious of new people but once they realize you're part of their pack, they accept you. Also, if they will be fed during their time with me, I need to know about allergies or medications so I can take all the necessary precautions. My favorite breed is pit bulls, but I love all shapes and sizes!
A typical day
I have found that dogs don't usually like changes to their routine. I would be available to maintain the same route that your fur baby is used to unless they are more adventurous! We would be able to set up play dates depending on my other clients to help with socialization.
