Pet care experience
My upbringing mostly involved fur babies dogs/cats/hamsters/guinea pigs/rabbits/fish/budgies which led me to complete my degree in Bioveterinary Science. My PhD included trying to improve treatment outcomes for canine breast cancer, and during which I babysat and walked fur babies that were less than 1 year old upto 12 years +. I have also completed K9 gold level dog obedience training that involved attending weekly training sessions for 6 years with my own dog, where I learned canine behaviour/obedience and training skills. I am more than willing to help with dog training such as lead walking (even giving paws and high fives) where required. I also have extensive experience with smaller animals which recently include: - Giving a 5 day course of eye drops to a gerbil (morning and evening) - Giving a 10 day course of eye drops to a hamster (twice a day, one eye medication and one oral medication)
Reviews
Charlotte did an amazing job looking after our cats while we were out for Easter. Dropping in once a day and playing / socialising with the cats, as well as making sure they were fed and cared for. Chantelle was really great at communicating about how simba and coco were doing while we were away. We get lots of pictures and updates while away from home She did a great job teaching Simba some new skills and managed to interact and play with Coco which is a very shy cat . I was so pleased when I’ve seen through my camera how loving and patient Chantelle was with our cats We're definitely gonna book her again in the future.
I’ve been lucky enough to have Chantell take care of my two cats several times. She is a wonderful, caring, and considerate person. Both cats love her and she sends the best updates/photos. I worry about my pets a lot while I’m away and she really puts my mind at ease (especially with the picky eater/timid cat). Very grateful for Chantell!
Brilliant from start to finish. Put us at ease from the meet and greet, was great with Oakley even though he can be pretty energetic. Fantastic communication throughout, wouldn't hesitate to recommend, will definitely call on Chantell again!
Chantell was brilliant. She sent detailed notes of how Polar was on each visit and lots of photos. I felt completely confident that Polar was in excellent hands and wouldn’t hesitate to book Chantell again. Chantell, thank you so much for your thoughtfulness ❤️

Some dogs are much more wary of being walked with new people/having new people in their homes. Therefore, I am more than happy to do a meet and greet to help more nervous dogs. My style of rover cards/pet sitting is to provide a detailed summary comprising of several sentences with at least 4/5 pictures, as this is the standard I would like to receive myself (and most sitters I have personally used do not do this), as pets are an extension of family and I'd want to know how their day went! If there are any triggers for your dogs such as other dogs or lorries please do let me know, but this will usually be covered at meet and greets. I am also part of St John Ambulance and therefore have a fully enhanced DBS check.
Information Chantell P. would like to know about your pet
If your dog has any extra requirements such as medicines (topical or oral), or chronic medical conditions, just let me know ahead of time. Additionally, if there is any extra monitoring required such as the volume of water drank/portion of medication powder eaten/food eaten, please do be specific so I can report back accordingly!
A typical day
I do road walks or trail walks, whichever is preferred by the dog (or owner). I am happy to take favourite toys for playing and treats for teaching tricks if you wish. For house sits or drop-ins I am happy to play with whatever toys are available (both cats and dogs). If your pet has something they are fond of, whether that be being groomed/playing with their favourite toy/watching pet TV. Do let me know, as it's always helpful to know the shortcut to be their BFF whilst you are away ;)
