I grew up in a household with many different types of pets, from reptiles and amphibians to domestic house cats and dogs… even farm animals and wild life (ask me about the time my family rescued a pair of ducks!) As a teenager and young adult I provided housesitting and pet sitting services in order to make money. I have volunteered with places such as humane societies, ASPCAs, and animal control and can provide advance skills in dog handling such as obedience training, medication administration, and exercising.

Channing was a really great house sitter, and both my dog and cat really liked her! She sent pictures daily so I knew my boys were being well taken care of, and my condo was also well taken care of. I would not hesitate to book her again in the future and everyone can be well assured she will take care of your pets like they are her own!
Had a great experience with Channing and she made me feel so at ease with her update after the walk with my fur baby. I definitely recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy. She understood everything I explained her and got it done with no problems. Also loved how puntual she was at her check in. I will use her services in the future. I am extremely happy with her great care. She’s a 5 star for us.
This is our third time boarding with Channing and my pup has always returned home happy and safe. She even took him out for a long hike, which he loved! I appreciate how reponsive Channing is, and she was flexible with drop off time when I had a travel delay which I appreciated greatly!

I live in an sky rise apartment in the heart of downtown Silver Spring. Dogs which are familiar with elevators and are friendly to strangers will likely be the most comfortable being cared for in my home. When I work from home I provide walks three times a day but otherwise I provide two although this schedule can be adjusted based on your own animal’s needs. For drop in and house sitting I am flexible to accommodate needs in the mornings and the evenings.

I am able to accommodate most medical and behavioral needs, but please disclose as much detail as possible. Behaviors surrounding how your pet reacts around other animals and other people as well as any behaviors around food and toys are very important to me since they concern the safety of both your pet and mine.
A typical day
My dog loves being outdoors so we love to go on hikes. On Saturdays we walk to the Farmer’s Market. We take one longer walk once a day, something slow pace that I like to call a sniff walk in order to provide mental stimulation, as well as a shorter walk for bathroom relief. My dog loves to play and is very good with playing with dogs of all different shapes and sizes.

Availability
I am a full time IT professional that works a hybrid position, I work from home at minimum twice a week but most frequently am home on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am available for boarding dogs that are able to be left alone for an entire work day, drop in visits early in the morning or in the evenings, and I have full availability on the weekends. Additionally I am available for house sitting although I prefer the flexibility to not have to spend the night in your home as I have my own dog to also take care of.
