Chandra is so amazing with our pups!! Understands each of their personalities so well and takes great care of them including giving seizure medication to our shepherd. Thanks as always for making us feel confident when away that they are well cared for!

While Chandra is good with dogs, I would not recommend her for a house sitting engagement. I had two trips back to back (was only home for 10 days between them) so I booked her for both since I wouldn't have time to interview someone else between them. The first trip didn't go well, but my dogs seemed to be taken care of, so I kept the engagement for the next trip. I had to find another house sitter within the first day. My one dog was injured. I had texted to make sure Chandra felt comfortable taking care of an injured dog and she said yes. I left explicit notes on what care she needed (crated and to let my neighbors know if she would be gone for more than 3 hours). Chandra did not spend the night the first night and did not leave my dogs any way to get out of the house. By the time my neighbors noticed they had been alone for over 10 hours. My injured dog was not crated and the instructions for her care were not followed. By the time I got a hold of Chandra, it would've been 15 hours. If I hadn't gotten a hold of her it would've been closer to 18 hours given the schedule she had during the first trip. This is unacceptable. My dogs were in jeopardy. I was out of the country and had to have my neighbors deal with everything. She told my neighbors that she told me she wouldn't be there that night. I reviewed all of our correspondence and that did not happen, I was charged for an overnight stay and with an injured dog, I never would've been okay with that. My biggest concern was that Chandra had no idea that there should be a concern with her actions: not following instructions for an injured dog; leaving dogs without a way to get outside for over 10 hours; and not giving them their breakfast or water. I left several phone numbers for people she could've asked for assistance and she did not take advantage of any of them. During the first trip, something was flushed down the toilet that caused a back up. Instead of contacting me, she let it go and I didn't find out until the house cleaners came at least a day later. This caused damage to my basement ceiling. Also on the first visit there were dog pee and throw up in several rooms of the house and many things were eaten. She also had another dog over to the house without letting me know, so I don't know what was related to that dog and what was just my dogs. Things happen and I get that, but if she had contacted me first damage could've been avoided. In summary, I do not feel that Chandra has the ability to handle issues if they arise and does not understand the expectations of house sitting or general welfare of the dogs (who leaves dogs for potentially 18 hours?) and therefore would not be someone I would trust as a house sitter. I think she would be someone to trust as a dog walker or someone who stops in to let the dogs out.
